We recently celebrated our Son & Daughter-in-law's wedding at the Scott and it was a magical day. The whole thing was an excellent and enjoyable experience - from the initial planning chat a year previously to the last dance on the night.nThe venue is beautiful, tastefully decorated and absolutely charming. The food was delicious and plentiful, from canapés in the garden to a carefully curated international dinner menu.nThe real difference, however, was made by the staff. Under Skye's watchful guidance, everyone was polite and attentive, and the whole event ran smoothly, with last-minute changes of plan dealt with effectively and seamlessly.nWe couldn't have been happier with the big day and we wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend the Scott as a wedding venue.
The Scott Hotel was beautifully renovated and not at all stuffy. Our bedroom had one of the most comfortable beds I'd ever slept in, and the bathroom was large, modern, and very clean. Our room looked out over a garden and was very quiet and peaceful. The lounge and dining areas were gorgeous, and the breakfast was quite good. Very convenient to the Univ of Edinburgh dorms, which was a plus for us, and about a 10-min cab ride from New Town. Highly recommended!
My favorite place to stay in Edinburgh. I took my friend there on our last trip and she was very impressed. I think some of the low reviews are from the UK and not from North America where the expectation is with much lower quality product of staffing at hotels. The food was really good as well.nBig recommend
Superb hotel, beautiful room, great service, and food! Breakfast is a delight and evening meals sumptuous. The Velvet lounge is perfect for a cocktail and post dinner whiskies!
The entire team that assisted us was AMAZING! Thank you to Daniela, Ashleigh, and Susan for making our stay the best it could be. We stayed here unexpectedly due to an unfortunate accident. The whole team, including the dining staff, were extremely accommodating. They made a very stressful situation as comforting as possible given the circumstances. KUDOS
