We loved our stay here! The room was incredibly clean and lovely. Staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was well stocked. We had lovely weather during our visit and spending a little quiet time over drinks in the garden was such a treat. We found the location to be great for us: we could be in the midst of the bustle of old town in minutes, but the more relaxed and quieter atmosphere at the Scholar was a great break. We found the buses very convenient.
GREAT place. Set in protected lands full of gardens, paths to walk, and lots of nature at the base of Arthur's Seat. Restaurant serves very good food and room service at no extra charge! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is very quiet, even though it is totally sold out. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend.
Lovely place to stay. The bar and restaurant is amazing too and it's not that pricey. The staff is really lovely, that made our stay really much more memorable. It was much more than we imagined.
Nice hotel, helpful and friendly staff. The restaurant and bar is great and adorable prices. Good size rooms ensuite and clean. Public transport stops almost in front of the hotel, and a taxi from the city centre to the hotel costs about £9,00. I gave the location 4 stars because the hotel is about 18 minutes bus ride £2,66 from the city centre. Not a problem for me but maybe for some people it's to far.
