Afternoon Tea at The Balmoral was great. The space is elegant and peaceful. The table we had was perfect to enjoy the design and features of the space.nnWe did go on recommendation with the harpist but it seems our afternoon time meant we only saw her play one song and then pack up, that was disappointing.nnThe afternoon tea sandwiches and sweets were incredible. There was no rush so you could savour each piece and allow time in between to simply enjoy the space and digest.nnThe experience of trying different teas was wonderful. We had a great display with the first pouring and being given the heads up so you could take photos/video was appreciated! I loved how were encouraged to try different teas and assisted to find flavors or different kinds to experience. Thank you.nnA bit of a mistake with them charging my friend’s card twice, thankfully his having disputed the transaction was quickly dealt h with. Avoiding that even happening would be better.nnI’d certainly let go back for their afternoon tea. Perhaps earlier now that I know the harpist doesn’t stay for the opening hours of the afternoon tea.
This is a 4 star hotel in my personal opinion. We would leave the rooms and come back and they were still not clean we had to always call the room service. They provided sterilizers for the babies which is appreciated and a discount for their foods. The location is good and the hotel security is great. The one thing i wont like is that The doorman would neverrrrrrrrrrr help with the bags so as their chauffeurs.
Fabulous service and delicious food. It was amazing dinner at Brasserie Prince. We cancelled other reservations and stay 2 nights at Prince although we stay at Edinburgh for 3 nights only. Thanks for Pierre and his team serve our dinner. It was lovely meal that l never have such experience.
Probably the best hotel experience I've ever had. We stayed at the Balmoral for the last two days of our Scotland vacation, and we couldn't have been happier. The absolute epitome of a luxury hotel. In particular I highly recommend the whisky bar.
Amazing, amazing, amazing location! Can’t be beat in Edinburgh. Close to everything, shopping, eating, tourist attractions and the main train station. Really fancy hotel while keeping the place clean and comfy. Decided to extend our stay in the city and the hotel was one of the biggest reasons for that. They bring freshly baked cookies and milk for the children every night which was one of the highlights of our experience. They insist on making the bed every night. Will definitely come back and stay in this hotel. Spa was amazing as well. Swimming pool and facilities were great.nnFront desk staff were great in the most part. There was an incident that I didn’t like how it was handled by front desk staff. They didn’t understand my request and done the opposite of what I’ve wanted. They proceeded to mishandle the situation further. Otherwise, overall staff were great.
