This is a great hotel, right in the centre of the city. Within walking distance of all the sights, shops and restaurants.nWe originally booked in for one night but stayed a second.nIt's very reasonably priced. The rooms are compact, but there's everything you need for a city stay. It's clean and modern and very well looked after.nBreakfast is great. A huge choice of juices, pastries, hot drinks, and more.nWe had a room on the main road but you can't hear any noise at all. The air conditioning kept the room at a comfortable temperature despite it being clammy outside.nThe staff are all very helpful and friendly.nReally couldn't recommend it more .
We were guests here for 5 days at Pentecost 2024 and enjoyed it very much. Everything was very clean, the room, although without a window, was super sufficient for our purposes. Great air conditioning, modern facilities. A warm welcome at reception and very friendly and helpful staff. Shower equipped with shower gel, soap and towels. It was cleaned every day, towels changed every three days, which was totally fine. If we wished, we were able to get new ones at reception. Very comfortable bed. Continental breakfast was completely sufficient, we spent most of the time in the city anyway and tried one thing or another there. Very central location, everything can be reached on foot in a relatively short time. Public transport all in the immediate vicinity.nnThank you very much, we will definitely come back!
Great budget hotel for short stays. Location is convenient for both business and shopping. Hotel is clean and tidy, staff friendly, efficient and accommodating. Rooms are small but perfectly formed. Equipped with all the basics with the exception of an in-room kettle. However, coffee and tea is available at an affordable price down at the reception bar. Recommended for a weekend break or a couple of days stay.
PROnThe hotel is modern and clean, the staff was very cordial and helpful. The location is excellent, especially if you are there for a conference.nCONnThe stay was very expensive for the size of the room, which are very minimalistic, with barely enough floor space, but especially since the room I stayed at had no window.nThis is fine provided there is adequate air circulation, which there wasn’t. The air conditioning just doesn’t provide fresh air and I suppose that there is absolutely no vent, at least in that specific room. The clothes started smelling a bit like mold after a couple of days, and it simply wasn’t comfortable.
Review of Point a - EdinburghnThere are so many positives about this hotel that citing any negatives almost seems petty. However, I am sharing my thoughts for each traveler’s considerations based on their personal level of importance. Positives: 1. The hotel staff is fantastic, we found each member we encountered efficient snd friendly. 2. Check-in processes are modern and effective minimizing system delays. 3. The lobby area is configured well for socializing, working, or playing cards. 4. Regarding breakfast, the operating hours are convenient for both business and leisure travelers, the selection is healthy, tasty, and frequently replenished. 5. The hotel is extraordinarily clean which appears to be a major focus. 6. The lobby had s nice little bar and snack market that is very convenient. 7. The location is very convenient - within a short walk to Old Town, the Grass Market, the Castle, and the Hay Market train station. 8. The streets around the hotel are brimming with pubs and local snd ethnic eateries. The negatives for us related to the room. 1. There are many types, ours was very small. There was one luggage rack which was inadequate to handle our three weeks of luggage. The desk area was so small it was laughable forcing you to work in the lobby. There was one small folding chair strapped to the wall and no other seating other than three bed. 2. The rooms are only serviced every third day. This is a problem for longer stays such as ours which was five nights because towels are not refreshed and trash is not emptied on the off days. The trash cans are very tiny resulting in it overflowing. To be fair to the hotel we mentioned some of these issues at check out and they told us that if we let the desk know they would have resolved each concern to our satisfaction and believe they would have done that. We will remember should we return again.
