It's always the people that make a place special and the crew at the Moxy is wonderful. Very friendly, knowledgeable and on the ball. A special thank you to Becca for a nice message and memento, but everyone we encountered was excellent.nnThe hotel is a short walk from the airport or literally 1 minute drive from the rental car pickup. Great breakfast and a good bar for a night cap. Easy to get taxis. We'll be staying there again before our next flight out of EDI.
As many have reviewed...this place sucks. What pushed me to write a review was receiving a GBP 100 fine for entering the parking lot to briefly load luggage and check out of the hotel.nnBesides the pay-to-load policy, the stay was quite miserable. The room was so hot. Our room was 24 degrees overnight. Even though the thermostat is stuck at 22 degrees to save money...I mean save the environment...the room would not cool to 22. Their solution is to open a window and try to sleep through the loud noises from the parking lot.
Rooms are very efficient- don’t be expecting a lot of space at this place!! Shower was warm within 2 seconds!! Bed was clean and plushy. As an airport hotel, it’s ideal for being close by the airport.nnWe did not have a vehicle but were warned that any vehicle that enters the parking lot needs to be registered, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Nothing is free, except for WiFi!! ;
Extremely small rooms. Shower was not draining and there was ZERO hot water. Took freezing cold showers. Hotel looks fun, but at the expensive of amenities. One great thing, its RIGHT next to car rental returns and the airport. People working the hotel were all very nice and helpful. Owners of the hotel are cheaping out on service.
Walking distance to the airport. Nice quirky hotel. Big open bar and gaming area. Small restaurant. Small gym but functional. Good selection of breakfast. Dinner was ok if wanted a quick bite to eat.nThe room I've had this time, the bed wasn't overly comfy, been used quite a bit. Have stayed at other rooms before which were comfy.
