The service at the hotel was wonderful. From our arrival, Momo greeted us with great kindness, then Brando, with his great charisma, made us feel right at home. What can I say about Gaurov? His professionalism and attentiveness made the stay even more pleasant. Finally, Sajal offered her help and personally resolved our issue. It was an exceptional stay.
This hotel appears to be brand new, with a high-quality finish and great amenities. The staff is friendly and attentive. For instance, when our hairdryer broke, they brought us a new one just a few minutes after we asked. Having come from London, we were expecting a cramped room, but were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. The breakfast is a buffet with a good variety of dishes, including both meat and vegetarian options. There's also a decent selection of fresh vegetables, greens, and cheeses.nnThe hotel is located on a quiet street, yet it's very close to the city's main thoroughfare, which has both tram and bus lines. However, the location is so convenient that you can walk to any central part of the city. If you're traveling with a suitcase, a taxi from the train station costs only about £12.nnAs for the downsides, in our corner room on the top floor, it was impossible to keep the window open because a cooking smell would blow in all night long from an unknown source. We had to sleep with the window closed and the air conditioning on. On the plus side, the view from the window was very beautiful!
A bustling place with nearby neighborhoods to poke into and plenty of nearby places to eat. The breakfast buffet was hearty and offered a full variety of eggs, bangers, haggis, fruits, fish and hand-mixed mango banana smoothies! The dinner offerings were mostly very good, especially the Asian buffet featured during the week. The rooms were comfy and quiet, offering a hot pot of coffee or tea and butter cookies each day.
All in all lovely hotel. The staff are wonderful and friendly. The food is good. Stayed for an enjoyable full week.nnDownsides: The shower head started dripping at random times for a few minutes. Woke me up in the middle of the night several times.nAlso, I don't understand why there was no toilet brush in the room.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Voco Edinburgh Haymarket for work purposes, and I must say: despite having stayed in many IHG properties around the globe, this particular hotel truly takes the gold medal.nnFrom the moment you step through the doors, you’re greeted by a stunning, impeccably maintained space that manages to feel both sophisticated and warmly inviting. However, the true jewel in the crown is the staff — each member exemplifies hospitality at its finest.nnA special mention must go to Andrew in the restaurant area, who is an absolute credit to the company. His attentive, friendly manner elevates the entire experience, and I sincerely hope he receives the recognition he deserves.nnWhether you’re visiting Edinburgh’s Haymarket for business or pleasure, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. world-class service and a rare gem indeed.
