My husband booked this hotel as a surprise for my birthday, with breakfast included. We parked at the Fountain Park car park as the hotel has a deal for £10 a day. It was only about a 10 minute walk to the hotel from there. We were greeted by very friendly staff with who gave us a complimentary mocktail voucher for our room. They were really nice! Our premium room came with a jacuzzi bath and bathrobes and the queen bed was incredibly comfy.nHotel is in a convenient area for shopping and dining.nThe breakfast was really good and again, staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Would definitely visit again!
We had a great stay at this hotel. The hotel was clean, spacious and with nice view refer to pic. Location was good too.nnBreakfast selection was great and the food was fresh and delicious.nnWhat impressed me was the service of the staff. They took the extra mile to accomodate our request to prepare a birthday cake for my son during our stay!nnI have stayed in other hotels in Edinburgh before but voco will definitely be my choice if I were to come back again.
The hotel has a great location and the rooms are in a nice condition so we didn’t have any problems with the hotel itself. However we experienced some serious problems with extra charges. Our whole stay was paid by a travel agency yet the hotel accidentally charged my father’s card by 259 pounds when we’ve checked in for the second time. When we’ve mentioned it to them they said it was accidental and they immediately sent the Preauthorization Cancellation Request to the bank where my father has his account. This was on August 4. However the bank informed us 2 days ago that they still haven’t received this request from the hotel so the 259 pounds has still not been sent back to my father’s account. They charged his card on August 4 and we should have received the money back in 2-5 business days. So for this reason and for the lack of care shown by the staff when we mentioned this problem I can only give 3 stars. I can only hope they accidentally forgot to send the request to our bank since before that we successfully got the deposit of 60 pounds back which required the same process. With that being said, the lack of care and false information provided about this situation is rather disappointing from a hotel of this standard.
The room was lovely and the staff were very friendly. The location was great because it's within walking distance of the main attractions and Haymarket train station.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire hotel staff for the amazing service! A special mention goes to Mr. Gaurav and Chef Masmim, who made my birthday unforgettable. The hotel went above and beyond by preparing a special cheesecake for my breakfast – such a thoughtful gesture that made my day perfect. The service throughout my stay was consistently friendly and attentive. I will definitely be returning!
