A modern and brilliantly designed and staffed archive. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
Went to see the Anne Lister in Her Own Words exhibition. Incredible.
As ever, WYAS put on a super show, updating us in this case with work done on the Goodchild collection. And I had a good discussion about digital archiving.
Very interesting visit behind the scenes. Anna was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. A huge archive of information. Well worth the time.
I went to a History Wardrobe event in the archives last week. First time I had been there. Staff very helpful and friendly. Talk was great as usual. Facilities very clean. Parking could be better.
Visited this centre as part of a tour to learn about what the staff do to preserve and safeguard millions of different archived material. It forms the lead office for smaller units in the five Metropolitan areas that cover West Yorkshire. Go online to view the various types of records held and if they interest you, go along and request a view of them. There is a car park a few minutes walk away st £2.50 for the day. Pre-order the documents as the archivists have to get them from miles and miles of shelving. This is a hidden gem for anyone rearching past history of the area.
Had to do some research here on WW1!! Staff were brilliant and so helpful!! Loved my experience here!!
I thought this place would have a lot more to offer I was a visitor using the conference room but in all honesty when I had a look round I was disappointed
Modern,Stylish,Friendly Staff.
Very helpful staff. Fantastic archives
