Huddersfield's history book! A vivid and intriguing picture of the area and its people, from pre-history to present day, revealed through world class collections.
Tolson Museum is the living history book of Huddersfield. In 1922 it was gifted to the Huddersfield Corporation as a War Memorial in memory of Legh Tolson's nephews, Robert and James who both died in the First World War.
The museum holds several collections including the history of Huddersfield and its Roman connections.
Admission is Free and we have a small gift shop and serve light refreshments including biscuits and hot drinks.
