Yorkshire Museum Of Farming

About

Located on the outskirts of York, the Yorkshire Museum of Farming is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of farming life in Yorkshire.

Story

The Museum has closed for the Winter Season and will reopen March 31st 2018. Keep an eye out on here for updates on the exciting changes we shall be making to the museum in this time.

Also for those who can't stay away, we shall be once again running our Santa Special with our friends at the Derwent Valley Light Railway in December.

2018 is going to be a big year for us here at Murton Park with many events planned, which will included everything from tractors to Vikings!

Hopefully see you soon.

We had an amazing day seeing Father Christmas and Mother Christmas. It was made truly magical by all the wonderful staff. We left full of Christmas Cheer.
Step back in time here!! Whilst also an opportunity to see farm animals. The place also has a little play park for the little legged humans!
Great place for children. My 2 year old grandson loved the play area especially the large sand pit. Animals and tractors too. We chatted to the train staff who were exceptionally friendly and showed us their trains. Fantastic.
Went to the Christmas village and to see Father Christmas. Was brilliant, shame about the weather as made it very wet and muddy as is on a farm. Son loved it.
Our first visit today and we were not disappointed. Something for the whole family. Play area is great. Lots of space to let small ones run about and still be able see them. It felt very safe even in the current situation. We will be back again very soon!
Awesome place, we go weekly. The Halloween event has been amazing x
