Beautiful and stunning reserve. Great place for a walk with picturesque scenery. Rocky trails alongside streams and rivers that lead to Riverline dam. The trek is quite uneven and muddy in places which makes the walk all more adventures.
A must visit place for anyone who likes following the path of a stream, amazing little waterfalls, rugged paths with tree roots covering rocks. After following the stream down you arrive at Rivelin Reservoir.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
We walked all over this reserve & across the Rivelin Dam then back up to the pub called the Three Merry Lads which has a beautifully scenic garden overlooking the Rivelin rocks. The river path going down to the Rivelin reservoir is a bit slippery so good boots with a decent grip are essential. Well worth a visit.
Lovely little walk along the river. It's fairly short and leads out to wyming brook reservoir. There's no real circular route but we managed to carve out our own. It gives you a little workout coming back up the hill. Quite pleasant. Went on a tuesday mid morning and it was pretty quiet.
Such a stunning area for a walk. Beautiful gorge with many waterfalls and great views. Quite steep and rocky in areas so be sure to wear decent footwear.
Lovely place for walking , we walked down the stream path all the way to the reservoir, turned around went back on a different path , it was muddy on the stream path ,quite a lot rocks as well so walking boots are recommended ! Car park at the top is free but can be busy ! Will come again if passing by .Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Parking can be difficult on busy weekends so bear that in mind, that being said the area is beautiful. There's a nice circular walk you can do with takes in the woodlands and the reservoir, only a few miles long. Great place to picnic and stroll through.
Chose the Fox Holt path very scenic but tough on the knees! Beautiful place and the dog loved it Dog-friendliness: Perfect habitat for a curious dog.
Brilliant place for a family walk or solo. Not too challenging but young kids may struggle at times.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Lovely place, completely unspoilt. A few wooden bridges over the brook but precious little else has been touched. No path laid, you really do just make your way over the rocks along side the water.
