Meet lemurs, meerkats, owls, otters, snakes and other amazing animals during unforgettable Animal Encounters throughout the day. Take your seat for spectacular shows, featuring free-flying birds of prey, parrots and charismatic mammals!

Explore the indoor rainforest; home to butterflies, birds, bats, crocodiles and creepy-crawlies from around the world and meet and feed the friendly residents of the Farm Barn.

Get closer than ever before to some of the most popular animals in the brand new walk-through mammal enclosure, and see if you can get a selfie with a dinosaur!

Pre-booked group and School visits are welcome and VIP Experience Days and Animal Adoptions are available to purchase.

The Realm of Camelot adventure playground, outdoor Wet Play Area and indoor Activity and Craft Centre will entertain children in all weathers, and popular themed events take place at the centre during School Holidays.

Facilities include a Picnic Room, Jungle Gift Shop and a modern Butterfly Café, serving freshly prepared hot and cold food and homemade cakes and deluxe Afternoon Tea.

The Tropical Butterfly House, Wildlife and Falconry Centre is open daily and, located just 5 minutes from the M1, junction 31, is easy to get to from Derbyshire, South Yorkshire, North Notts and North West Lincolnshire.

Fantastic place to visit - especially with kids.nThe new-build butterfly house is really modern, with a great selection of butterflies and more.nThe woodland walk is great, plenty to see, loads of birds the owls are fantastic.nYou can easily spend a few hours looking around, there's talks and shows, a small animal house, cafe, and the facilities are great.nThere's even a little games room and some mini carts and ride-on tractors for the younger ones.nDefinitely recommend to anyone for a fun & educational day out.
I first went here with my older sons. That was 20 or so years ago. Today we were there with our 3.5 year old. There has been a considerable investment in this place and to good effect. The newish butterfly house is fantastic. Lots of interesting creatures in general around the site. The outdoor play area is also excellent.
Always have a great time here. Not every day you visit somewhere that has both goats and crocodiles not together, obviously.nnWallabies, meerkats, porcupines, giant tortoises, armadillos, lemurs, lots of birds and owls and a Guinea Pig Village. Be sure to get some food at the door if you want a more interactive experience feeding the meerkats is fun. Lots of greenery and nice plants.nnThe new butterfly house is great too. There's huge variety and saw a few giant butterfly's - wear green or bright colours and there's a good chance they'll land on you. Staff were friendly and helpful as always. Good variety of talks etc. Nice cafe with nice food!
Had a really fun day out here! There was lots to see and we went round the park twice. There's plenty of interactive things for the kids to do. The price for the ticket is well worth it. Will definitely come again sometime. I also recommend buying the otter feed pot online when you book your ticket!
I absolutely love coming here, it’s about an hours drive for us and it’s still worth it for a day out.nnMy little man is only a year old and there’s still plenty for him to do.nnThe keeper talks are great and very informative. The staff are always wonderful and the animals are well kept.nnThe themed events are always well thought through and the grounds are well maintained.nnBoth cafes are wonderful as well and reasonably priced.
