Welcome to RSPB Old Moor and Blacktoft Sands, the official Facebook page for the two RSPB reserves based in South Yorkshire and Humberside.

Brilliant experience. My grandchildren loved the pond dipping and playground and the older ones were also impressed with the birds they could see from the family hide.
As a wheelchair user, the paths in places were difficult to negotiate but that was largely due to extremely wet weather over the last few weeks. Next time we visit I will use one of the heavy duty mobility scooters available. 
Highly recommend the experience to all

Another visit to one of our favourite RSPB reserves. Sun and showers but plenty of birds to see, hides well placed and a good shop (books, bird feed and feeders plus binoculars and scopes, gifts etc,) and a good cafe. Understandably limited range of main meals but plenty snacks and cakes and good coffee. We will be back again.

Well worth a visit. Well laid out and easy to get round. It depends when you go to what you may see but you will always see something of interest.

Beautiful walks around the reserve. Great views from the hides. Depending on the time of year, huge varieties of birds to be seen. Then when you come in a lovely tea room/café for some warm up time.

RSPB owned and managed for birds in particular but is also good for pond life and dragonflies. Nice, friendly staff with a shop and cafe serving a decent variety of food and drinks. Great hides all with wheelchair access and caters well for children and school groups.
