Booked here for a last minute break. We had a great time despite the weather on some if the days. Stayed in one of the caravans which had it's own drive so our car remained outside. Layout was really good and cosy. With the heating system it heats up really well with no complaints. The location itself is at a nice remote location with the beach a 20 minute walk away. Great views of the sunset if you're about. The food wasn't bad at the resort and staff were very friendly. Kids made use of the indoor pool on more than one occasion which was good considering the weather at the time. There are other activities there and some amusement arcades which the kids will always drain the money away, but fun nonetheless. During our stay it was gusty but the caravan was sturdy enough though one of the evenings I could feel the walls move from the gusts. We went out a few days to see some sights and they weren't far away, probably about a 30 minute drive so not too far.
On arrival with my wife and children I noticed the park was very clean well kept and the views are to die for. The service was excellent from Reception team who directed us and made check in so easy, right though to the restaurant and bars. I would like to highlight the service from the restaurant team. The man light blue shirt who remembered our drinks orders thank you for the service. Exceptional. Amenities on park kept us all busy over the weekend and reasonably priced. Our caravan was spotless. I will be recommending and returning. Thank you to all staff for a great getaway.
Loved it great holiday park right on the cost amazing views of the Bristol channel? Great location amazing walks great night life kids loved it hot tub was a touch.. Spa is a must but extra costRooms: 5/5
BE WARY This is the 5th time that I have been to the Woolacombe bay holiday parks so we decided to upgrade to a surf lodge and my advice is don’t bother. On the list of things included in the surf lodges are personalised service, you get nothing extra from a regular caravan. Wine cooler, did not work, buttons were missing so was clearly not checked before we got in. This was not fixed until half way through our holiday TV in the bath, did not work when we moved in again clearly had not been checked, when we complained we were told they had to get a new remote that would arrive half way through our holiday. When the remote arrived it worked for 1 day and was clearly not a new remote. Mould in the sink when we move in again another thing that was clearly not checked. The main fridge did not work when we 1st moved in so all the milk that we brought with us was warm. When this was fixed it then turned into a freezer. Light sockets clearly not screwed in which was noticed by my 6 year old not safe and again clearly not checked Not all of the settings worked on the hot tub and not all of the decking lights worked again clearly not checked. We had to spend time making various phone calls and visits to reception so we gave up in the end. If you are paying for the premium accommodation you would expect everything to be to a high standard. We have been going to the Woolacombe bay holiday parks for the past 5 years and this has put us off going again. We have not received anything in the way of compensation for all of the issues and hardly got an apology.
We have visited this holiday park many times over the years and always have a lovely time. This is definitely a location where you can just spend your entire holiday on camp with visits to Woolacombes gorgeous beach. There is so much to do here with swimming, arcades, play areas, cinema, mini golf etc! Entertainment was brilliant as always for both adults and children. Food was lovely, majority of the staff were knowledgeable on any ingredient queries or if they were unsure they would ask the kitchen staff. Wish they would have dairy free butter considering they now do dairy free cheese but only minor complaint! Caravan was sparkling clean and beautiful sea view! Would like to thank the first aiders, Harry and the life guard, who I cant remember his name i do apologise, for their brilliance in helping my 3 year old when he badly hurt his arm. I cant thank you enough for your help, advice and concern for my little boy. And for Libby for not only helping distract my son, but me too!
Absolutely amazing place with beautiful views and amazing staff. Decent food for a decent price. Evening entertainment was as you'd expect from a holiday park. Lovely indoor swimming pool and little play pool with slides for the younger children. The on-site gym looked pretty good. They also have an on-site spa you can book into for various reasons for this again just didn't have time to do this but heard good things from them who did . Plenty of activities for the kids to do during the day with the park and arcade. The beach is a fair walk away but that is what it is. Enjoyed the whole experience so much so after day 3 of 7 we booked again for next year
Fantastic stay accommodation was spotless and well equipped staff was lovely would certainly recommend a stay hereRooms: 5/5
Fabulous place to enjoy time with your family. Great weekend bargains, Mid week bargain's very affordable. Rooms: Great caravan options.
Lovely Well appointed Lodge, kids loved hot tub! Courteous and friendly staff. Amazing views!Rooms: 5/5
Great location on top of a hill looking down to woolacombe beach beautiful views. Great outdoor viewing deck in the evening with a beer. Great facilities. But note I am fit individual and the walk down to beach is lovely the walk back up is incredibly challenging so bear in mind if like me you thought you could leave the car all walk and walk to the beach as it will test the legs. That said if you enjoy a walk you won't be concerned. The staff are friendly and the outdoor free splash pool and flumes are a winner. Caravan was clean and smart but don't forget a washing up towel as that isn't included. Food & drinks: Good coffee, great takeaway service
