Lovely spot! Staff were lovely, facilities were perfect - everything we needed. The weather wasn't great whilst we were on holiday, but we found a nice sheltered spot by the hedges - even our awning survived the 55mph+ winds!Rooms: 5/5
What a great place lovely views and nice and quiet. Has a small child's play park which my granddaughter loved and the bug hotels scattered were a bonus the toilets and showers are kept exceptionally clean which is a credit to the staff. Was well worth the 6hr drive. And not far from Woolacombe beach so plenty to do. Only stayed for 4 nights but planning next visit in school holidays next year for longer. One not to be missed.
Excellent club site. Spotless clean, I would say this is the cleanest camp site we have been on. A very well kept site. The staff were excellent and you can see they take pride in there work. Nothing was to much trouble for them. Just gutted we had to leave early but will be returning one day soon. Walkability: There are some great walks
Lovely peaceful site with Devon banks around the site with wild flowers, attracting insects, birds and other wildlife, there are bug hotels around the site as well which is good for teaching the younger generation about the wildlife. Toilets and showers are spotless, warden's are very helpful and friendly. This site has character and we love it.
Having had a seasonal pitch for 2 years and been here many times in the past and loved the place, it's sad to see the massive change. It used to be immaculate. We've been subject to mowing for nearly 2 hours within feet of our pitch. No warning & no consideration for us trying to relax. If you're looking for peace and quiet, go elsewhere.
Love this site, great location for walking. Morthoe and Woolacombe not far away. Good views. Very good modern toilet block. Wardens very friendly. Centralised bins, they work. Recommend strongly.Location: 5/5
Last minute booking as we needed laundry facilities which we were thankful for, nice friendly guy to help. But extremely inflexible booking procedure. There was only one non-electric pitch, which is on the entrance roundabout underneath a huge electric pylon. After seeing the pitch 10 minutes later, I asked if we could simply cancel and was told no, as it was now confirmed or we pay to stay on electric pitch, which we didn't need. Another negative for us, was daily cleaning of the shower 10:30am - 12:30pm, in the 2 hours before check-out time. Makes absolutely no sense and so inconvenient! So for £30 a night with no electric, we couldn't even have a shower on the day of leaving.
Usual camc site toilets clean and tidy staff very pleasant the pitches could do with some attention I had to do a bit of Thistle and weed removal before I could pitch up apart from that no problems Old railway line behind site makes for a good walk very level and accessable .
Lovely quiet site, great wardens, very friendly. We were there during bank holiday weekend and the site was busy yet still relaxing. Unlike some club sites of late you are not crammed in. Areas of " wild grass" give added privacy. Some folk have complained about these areas but we loved the diversity it brings to the site. Our first visit but both my wife and 12 year old son agree that we'll return as soon as we can... loved the week we spent there.
A lovely site with beautiful views across the valley. Peaceful, about 5 minutes drive from the beach at Woolacombe. We were there end of September and there were loads of both hardstanding and grass pitches available, but I can imagine a different picture in August, when, due to the location, it's packed. The road into the actual site can be a bit hairy as it's single lane with passing places, as are some local roads and the locals navigate them at speed. No actual dog walk, but there is a small grass area by the gate to the rear of the site. Keys are required to use the facilities which were spotless. Can imagine there being a queue for toilets and showers in the school hols, but no issues in September. If you are a sea sportsperson they have an area to wash wetsuits too. No shop on site, nearest places for milk and bread are a shop on a private site, a small convenience store in Woolacombe or you need to travel to the supermarkets in Ilfracombe.
