We recently spent a few days camping at Lee Meadow for my daughters birthday. We have been before and wanted to come back as we enjoyed it so much last time. The Farm shop is filled with lovely yummy food and the fire pits make the evenings so magical. Everyone is so friendly there, it feels like a home from home. We didn’t even get round to hiring the bikes as we were having so much fun in the field. Next time Thank you for a lovely stay
Very nice camping site. Very tidy and nice organised. Very good atmosphere and serviced by owners .rent a bike cool , nice fire pits. Recommended definitely loads to do around.
Wow, what a fantastic site. We only stayed two nights but the facilities were great, especially the farm shop selling cream teas during the day, amongst other things, and pizzas at night. {Oh and I believe breakfasts in the morning too.} Very friendly, we were asked if we wanted a nice view and they weren’t wrong, the sunsets especially. Lovely.
Great medium-sized campsite in prime location for Woolacombe and the surrounding area. We were in a Motorhome, but most others were either in tents or campervans. Very large pitches where we were, with hook-up. On-site bike hire great for nearby Northern section of the Tarka Trail. Take-away cooked breakfasts and dinners available. Friendly staff, and clean and tidy site. Only negative is that the showers could have been a bit hotter. Would visit again.
Lovely, family-run site with good facilities and a great farm shop/cafe that serves a great breakfast using locally-supplied produce. Bonus is the bike hire which includes e-bikes that make the ride into and back from Ilfracombe a doddle!
We spent 6 nights at Lee Meadow Farm in a bell tent. The tent was so nice inside, clean and comfortable. Extras included with bell tent were a nice touch, picnic bench, fire pit with fuel, power pack charger and hairdryer/ straightener tokens. The weather was dreadful on the first few nights but we were warm and dry inside our tent. Facilities were very clean, showers were hot and never a wait to use. Toilets good antibacterial spray was supplied, most people seemed to use. There was a freezer for ice blocks, wash area for dishes with lots of hot water. Wetsuit rinse area was a nice touch. Farm shop was a lovely bonus with nice quality items and fair prices for shop and for the cooked food. Excellent quality and service in onsite cafe. We rented bikes from the onsite bike rental, fairly and competitively priced. Tarka trail is so close and safe for family riding. Wonderful part if the country and I highly recommend this well run, quite and friendly campsite.
Lovely site with everything you need in a stunning location! My only wish would’ve been for stronger enforcement of rules, particularly quiet after 11pm. I was still hearing loud noise from other campers especially children nearing midnight. Other than that, a superb experience - I will definitely be back!
Paid £40 a night for a none electric tent pitch which for the area is high, however I am happy to pay for quality.... However this was far from that. Cold showers, rubbish everywhere and unhelpful staff. A large campsite with facilities that aren't on the same scale. I ended up having cold showers as no hot water. Rubbish covered the campsite for hours and no staff members noticed. The staff weren't rude but not friendly either, our check in was horrendous, no information was given at all. It's in a beautiful spot, however thee women's toilets and four showers aren't enough for the amount of customers. I think they was a family bathroom but no information was given on arrival. Most other campsites in the area have at least a small area for children to play. This campsite nothing, children running around near cars. I had high expectations due to fantastic reviews / website etc. Extremely disappointed. I wouldn't return.
Amazing camp site, staff really friendly and helpful, pitches we had was a great size, toilets and showers can be busy but never had a problem, showers/toilets clean and nice hot water, little shop on site sells most things including fresh meat and veg which are good quality, this campsite is an 8 minute drive from lee bay which has free parking if you get there early or about 15 minutes to croyde and ilfacombe so in the middle of some amazing beaches, definitely a place to recommend and stay again
Family and dog friendly campsite in a great location. Huge pitches, good value for money, clean facilities and lovely staff. Arrived and were walked to our pitch where a lovely lady showed us where everything was. Fab farm shop and cafe served breakfast rolls and pizzas in the evening. Would definitely recommend!
