Well, it is interesting. Loved the building, a faded Victorian grand country house. The beer is Ok, the views are good and there was a great atmosphere - all dogs and boots, an outdoor sort of place. No food in sight except for crisps and peanuts. Prices I can't recall so it was probably not steep.

Quirky is the first word that comes to mind. Friendly staff and locals. Cheap drinks with a great selection to choose from. Woodlands is a must if your visiting this area. Dog friendly easy going pub. Never visited a place like it. It's unusual to say the least 😊

Step back in time at this very beautiful and quirky old traditional pub.
Serving great beers etc at very reasonable prices.Its a must visit.
Long may it continue.

A proper pub for serious drinkers. Excellent range of ever-changing real ales at very good prices. No phone or WiFi, so you get to chat to friends old or new. A blazing log fire and dog friendly for walkers - set in an old country house hidden up a winding gravel drive. This is a gem to discover!
