Pleasant atmosphere great location nice fires etc.. but - food sometimes over done and very poor bar/customer service. When someone orders a fruit juice - try shaking the bottle up first. Basic common sense. When someone orders tea make sure they have everything they need before you go back to chatting to customers and looking through their photo's. When a customer asks for something go and get it for them instead of pointing in the general direction to it especially when you've nothing else to do but chat to customers. If people are stood waiting at the bar to be served don't just stand there ASK if anyone needs serving. You forgot that without customers you won't get paid. ** Update** Have gone down to 2 stars now. Bar staff caught making sarcastic comments about a customer without realising customers friend was stood at the bar!!

Good food, better than you'd expect from a pub in Carnforth. Prices are not very cheap but the food is worth it. There a selection of ales on tap and sport on a TV at one end of the bar so it doesn't dominate but let's those that want to watch it, watch it.
