Great food. One of the best steak & kidney pies I have ever had. Lovely sticky toffee pudding. Nice atmosphere, jovial landlord. Prices are quite reasonable

the service was great we only stopped for a meal 2 adults and 4 children the meals were delicious and they even had small cutlery for our 2 year old the staff were friendly and the place had a welcoming atmosphere would definitely recommend and go again we didn't wait long for our meals not much else to say really except very nice Indeed

Very good food. Welcoming staff great selection of drinks, also dogs are aloud in the bar area when eating here, which is fantastic if you're out walking the dog.

Stayed here overnight recently and thoroughly enjoyed it, our room was in the converted barn and was really lovely with a huge comfortable bed! Owners extremely friendly and happy to help. Highly recommend!

I don't know if these premises has changed hands but I have visited here many, many times before as the food was excellent. I went yesterday for an early dinner - what a mistake! My prawn cocktail was just some tastless prawns with tasteless sauce in a dish with a small helping of salad (not the usual crispy lettuce) on the side. Plenty of bread but it was spread, with what tasted to me, margarine. I had the salmon for my main course which was dry and tasteless, in fact I wrapped it in a napkin and took it home for my cat! My partner's tuna came back well done when he specifically asked for it to be rare, which was accompanied with an oversweet chilli. Needless to say after many pleasant and tasty meals there in the past I shall not be returning.
