What a gem! This is a wonderful pub with rooms and to be clear, this is not a basic pub with basic rooms "to rest your head", this is an excellent destination in its own right. Walking in on a Sunday afternoon, the place was nicely busy, friendly folks many with dogs on leads all having a good time - a reminder of why and how British pubs are so unique in the world. A wonderful atmosphere. The rooms upstairs are really well done, a good size and recently updated I suspect with a good, comfortable bed and plenty other mod cons.. my bedroom was on the lane through the village, I had the window open all night and there was barely any noise March time was my stop over Dinner, part of the Sunday package, was fantastic, absolutely perfect.. I had the cauliflower taco to start - tasty and just the right amount, the roast pork was as good as it gets and the "trimmings" were similarly exquisite. The beef option also looked good. The lemon posset was another excellent dish. All in all, there really is nothing not to like about this place.... The location is beautiful, the ambiance and friendly staff give the place a homely feel, the rooms and food are top notch.... I had my dog and even she got some treats too! Well done Team New Inn. Outstanding stuff
Absolutely loved it. First time through the doors in about 20 years. We were the first customers at a lunchtime and were greeted by the manager, Matt. Very natural warm and friendly. The bedrooms look very high quality which reflects the standard of decor downstairs. We had a pork burger that was terrific and a nice glass of wine. Cant wait to return to sample more of the food and to stay a night or two. Thanks to the team. Highly recommended.
Went out for lunch.Beautiful and warm environment on a very wet and cold day. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff who did everything to accommodate our requests. Despite a piece of kitchen equipment failing, the menu was adapted to reflect this. The food was well presented and extremely tasted. Was a little quiet but this was probably due to the weather. A little off the beaten track but I love this. Very close to the beautiful Leighton Hall and Leighton Moss wildlife sanctuary. Ideal for walkers, historian and bird watchers. Certainly will be visiting again
Absolute gem of a find. Booked a last minute stay just as a stopover and we were so impressed. Set off a country Lane surrounded by rural farming land, with a warm welcome and decor brimming with character and style. All the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Room 7 suite was beautiful, spacious and had everything we needed. We wished we were staying for longer and hope to visit again! Highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay!
We walked there from our rental property and were not disappointed by the food, drink or service. A freshly renovated pub with a large capacity for diners at peak times. As the photos show, good attention to presentation is matched by quality ingredients which tasted excellent. Only minor quibble was that I would have preferred a larger selection of draught ales but that's my passion.
The lovely waitress was amazing. Went out of her own way to accommodate us. I had severe heart burn on the night and she looked around for some medicine and recommended to use ginger beer never knew this eased my burn and went home happy and full. Thank you and will be back again as the food was really good.Service: 5/5
Beautiful little hotel in a picturesque village. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, lovely decor. Food great and value for money. Welcoming staff, would definitely recommend.Rooms: 5/5
Good food, friendly staff, at least three different ales well kept. You do pay for the quality of the food. A pleasant touch is a bottle of water to accompany your eating and drinking.
Very clean, great facilities, the staff brilliant and very helpful. They let us drop off bags early and told us a lot about the area. Fantastic food, imaginative menu to suit everyone from the local area. The location was beautiful with easy accessible walks to close attractions. Will be back, great value for money. Made our first wedding anniversary great and appreciate that.
Gorgeous stay start to finish. Staff welcomed you like it was their home. The food was outstanding and the room was comfortable and private with excellent amenities. Value for money spot on. Would definitely stay again 10/10Rooms: 5/5
