Due to a power cut (I need a machine to breathe at night) we were forced to find local accommodation quickly at night. The owner of the Woodlands was very understanding and despite the hour, waited for us to arrive. The room was nice and warm when we got there and the bed had an amazingly luxurious mattress. Our room was wheelchair friendly and included a walk in shower. The staff are very attentive and the freshly cooked breakfast is extremely tasty. Highly recommended.

Drove in off the road with no booking, arriving at 17:30, the manager who booked us in was brilliant and nothing was to much trouble. He and staff were fabulous could not do enough for us plus our dog. what a fabulous hotel, lovely clean spacious modern rooms with huge beds, shower was great. Great views from rooms, this shows a huge credit to the housekeeping staff. The restaurant was lovely. Huge massive compliments to the Chef as the food was excellent with great portion sizes, then breakfast was as lovely with huge portions (especially the porridge) Huge thanks to Paulette who served breakfast she was lovely, professional and made us feel at home. We will definitely be staying again and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

An absolutely beautiful location, excellent service, and incredible hospitality. I'm thankful that my path in life lead me here for a week. This place made the best of our Girvan vacation.

Went for coffee, had to wait 20 minutes in an empty restaurant for drink that came luke warm, wasn't impressed. Positives - decor was lovely, horse outside were beautiful to watch and prices were good
