Hotel was bang on. Good location central to shops pubs and eatery. I was working in Ayr and googled hotels local to my job. Very pleased with the hotel. Rooms was decent size, unfortunately there wasn’t an iron in my room but receptionist fetched one up. Bar was open till late responsibly priced too. I was told by receptionist parking was £5 for the night but on checking out I wasn’t billed. I would recommend this hotel fairly cheap and very good location.
The Mercure hotels have been refurbished and the room was freshly decorated throughout. The layout in the reception and through to the dining room was more aesthetically pleasing than before the refurb. Weather was great too when we stayed so that's a plus!
Fantastic town centre hotel 5 min walking distance, to shopping centre, the beach, bars and restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly and warm, Megan Ops Manager gave us a tour which was very informative and good for future business. The rooms were clean and had all the facilities needed for a weekend away. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Stayed here as a group going to wedding in the summer… still haven’t got over the smell.nnPositives: the reception area was pretty deceiving as it looked nice enough. The very friendly barman who got us all sorted with pints of water. The location to Ayr high street/ train station. And that’s it.nnThe smell when you get through to the corridor where the rooms are is VILE! The rooms were not well cleaned/ need a total refresh… bloody sheets, holes in pillow cases, earrings from previous guests, broken safes etc. The receptionist wasn’t the most friendly but maybe that’s because she knew what we were about to endure when we got through from reception?! Also, the price is excessive for what it is!! We were just glad we didn’t have to spend too much time in the room! Definitely don’t recommend unless you’re desperate
Located close to the centre of the town. The car park is not free, but the charge is not unreasonable. The rooms are comfortable.
