Excellent rooms, friendly staff & Great food into the bargain. The Old Loans Inn was a big surprise, a cracking old building decorated very tastefully both inside and out. From relaxing at the bar to enjoying the day on the upstairs veranda it's just a great, very chilled out place to spend some time. Amazing coastline not far from the door is just another bonus to this place.

Rooms were absolutely superb - best I think I've ever seen. Food was abysmal; ordered the pulled pork croquettes. The croquettes were hollow...not even a drop of pork. The second portion I received.. exactly the same scenario except a small piece of pork the size of a fingernail. The waitress at the time just said "sorry about that" - no instigation of an alternative or a refund even though the meal was included in the package..poor. Deep down I know nobody gives a monkeys about there work but you would react the same and think...how would I feel if I was in that position? What would i like to the resolution to be? Clearly they don't. Main course - chips were like everywhere else, burger was overcooked and no flavour...a mouthful of grease, relish and bread. I'm no Gordon Ramsay but it sounds lovely she reading it on the menu but when it comes out ...garbage. Won't be back, such a small hotel/b&b but a cold feel of a large hotel.

Lovely quiet room, friendly staff. Didn't have dinner as no vegan option, but restaurant was really busy. Only £5 for a taxi into Troon. Would recommend.

Lovely staff, great food and friendly service. Would highly rate the veggie sizzling fajitas. Nice relaxed atmosphere and never felt rushed even on a Saturday night.
