Windmill Inn
"We are a Freehouse Inn with seven B&B rooms serving quality food focused on seasonal produce locally sourced and craftfully prepared and cooked. A real Sussex country pub dating from the 17th Century with modern tones. We offer a warm Sussex welcome in the public bar, saloon bar, dining room and two beer gardens; perfect for families looking onto open fields. We also have a working inglenook fire and a wood burner for those cosy winter evenings with a dart board. 'The Lodge' offers a unique al-fresco hut with heaters and lots of tables, 'Charlie's Hut' seats up to 8 in a separate hut with a low coffee table and heater."

Was recommended The Windmill Inn due to being in the area and wanting some food. The staff were friendly and attentive and food was really good. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely return to try out more…especially the Sunday roasts! Thank you for a lovely lunch.
Such a fab dog friendly quaint Inn. Enjoyed the atmosphere while yhe Rugby was on and great service from start to finish. The room we stayed in was great with all facilities that we needed, so cozy too. Fantastic choice of breakfast. Highly recommend this fab place.
I think I've found my perfect stay absolutely certainly in this area. The rooms are lovely, really well appointed and decorated. The food and drink are exceptionally good... The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, attentive
This is a lovely pub, restaurant or whatever you want it to be; we’ve been here over half a dozen times and always had a warm welcome, great service and great food; thank you. Highly recommend it anyone.
Amazing chicken schnitzel served here! Good selection of cask ales on tap. Friendly staff and great service in a lovely location.
Had a lovely lunch here yesterday. Very tasty and excellent Harvey's ale on tap. Very cosy old English pub. Recommended
Such incredible service and food. Emma was wonderfully welcoming and so helpful. I can’t recommend the windmill highly enough! Looking forward to becoming a regular here.Rooms: 5/5
Having driven past this pub and liked what I had seen, I decided to save the location and come back on a different day. I was really looking forward to dining here but was left feeling really disappointed. We had been advised of the seating both inside and outside and were asked where we'd like to sit, we told them outside and were advised that someone will be over shortly to take our orders. We were waiting for about 20 minutes with no sign of a waiter/waitress, we got fed up and decided to ask for a table inside. After waiting another ten minutes, I had to go and find someone to take our order. I had the curry, which whilst nice, wasn't amazingly with flavoursome and had a much higher rice to curry ratio. I don't like being a conned with rice, it's cheaper and rice fills you up, remove the rice and the bowl looks empty. This is a great shame, looks like a great pub, in a great location, but unfortunately it doesn't live up to expectations.
It went well until the last morning. Booked breakfast at 08:30. They turned up at 08:45 half asleep. No apology about the lateness for 15 minutes. Still here 54 minutes after breakfast was meant to be served... Still nothing... Poor show!
Great pub. Had food there a few times and has been top, including the Sunday roast. Luckily this is quite local to us we will be back!Service: 5/5
