We went on a Sunday afternoon, there was a live band setting up. Originally we were seated in the bar area directly in front of them. Although very good they were also very loud being directly in front of us. The staff kindly moved us to somewhere more suitable so we could talk as a family. I love that the pub does live events / quizz nights. But equally I'm glad we were able to be moved to a more quiet area. The food as always was very good.
We had our office Christmas party today. Lovely meal, generous portions with good unhurried service. Thank you
After popping in for what is normally a lovely Sunday dinner and warm welcoming atmosphere, we greeted by rude staff, all 3 people at my table ate at different times. My own dinner was cold, chewy meat and tasteless. The table beside were able to have waitress service while we had to order at the bar. When we asked about the wait for our dinner we were told there was a mix uo with the tables. Overall the experience was very disappointing unlike many times before.
Just popped in whilst on a dog walk. Staff were friendly and the coffee was good. They even had doggy ice cream and my retriever loved the 'old sock' flavour..
Very nice pub, Hall and Woodhouse have done it again, great decor. Staff very friendly and know what they are doing, they are very obligation, and good to sort any problems out. The food was good for me steak pie lovely, just a little dry for myself, well worth a try. All in all I recommend this hostelry, you well not be disappointed. You will definitely be felt welcome. I will return next time I am in the area.
We come here for family meal and everytime we've visited this place, the food tasted so delicious. The staff are very efficient and always pay attention to detail in every aspect. Keep it up guys and many thanks for your utmost service.
Came for a Sunday roast and left very content. Plenty of space both inside snd outside.Meal was a good roast beef, the Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes were excellent, always my primary marker for a roast. An excellent experience and we will visit again.
Lovely atmosphere, nice friendly staff, and a good menu, at reasonable prices. Food was very nice. Have been a few times.
We went for a meal on Valentines night, and had superb food and excellent service. Has been a bit hit and miss in the past but definitely the best we've ever experienced. Highly recommend.
We had a birthday lunch mid afternoon when it was quieter as my husband is in a wheelchair with advanced parkinsons and I have mobility issues. The staff were very good but especially Sue, nothing was to much trouble. The food was wonderful, wi certainly go back again. Thank you for your kindness.
