After reading the reviews, it has put my mind at rest. I’m glad to see I am not the only one who has had a bad experience with this surgery. They are SHOCKING. Rude receptionist staff. CAN NEVER GET AN APPOINTMENT. Supposedly BUSY but when you go into the surgery, the waiting room is EMPTY.nI have moved to another surgery who are 1000 times better. Friendly staff on reception and more welcoming. They will try their best to help
I quite honestly think this must be the worst doctors surgery in Northamptonshire. Impossible to get an appointment even by using their stupid anima app. The receptionists are always extremely rude, I think there are maybe 1 or 2 decent ones but the majority are absolutely awful. They don’t want to help you and quite frankly would rather tell you to ring 111 or go to A&E. I just waited on the phone for 40 minutes, for 20 of those minutes I was number 1 in the call queue. Just to have the phone put down on me. I quite honestly cannot be dealing with this place anymore, they make it absolutely impossible to do anything! All I wanted was my blood test results as they texted me telling me I needed a telephone appointment. I cannot wait to move and join a new doctors surgery. Avoid this place at all costs!!!
Whitefields please put your reception staff through some sort of customer service and empathy training. There is a fantastic male receptionist your other professionals require a course by him. You should be empathetic and professional service. I fear you are not doing enough to improve your practice. It was getting better for a while.
I totally agree with one of the previous comments. “They actively make arranging appointment or receiving advice difficult, with convulted call options and long waiting times. They advise you to use 'anima', but their website directs you to a different app, and they speak to you as if 'anima' is common knowledge as someone who has probably been to the doctors twice in the last 10 years.” Exactly, what Anima is??? Long story short, I wasn’t able to get the appointment, I have been asked to call 111 so I did, only to be referred to go to my local chemist to be advised to take Sudafed. I’ve been sick for a week with high fever, swollen glands, headache, earache, joint and muscle pain, hypersensitivity to light etc. after I told the pharmacist that of course I took paracetamol, ibuprofen, throat spray, lozenges etc. A total waste of time, after getting worse and worse every day, ending up spending three days in bed, not being able to do anything I would expect to see a GP!!! I didn’t even dare to try to book a GP appt before it got super bad as I was hoping it was just a viral infection and GP wouldn’t prescribe me anything different to what I could buy myself. Thanks god I managed to get some antibiotics, not via NHS of course, I hope I will finally get better!
I rarely leave reviews, but I felt I needed to inform others of how poor this place is. I have ongoing pain and after doing the 8am rush to fight to get an appointment last week, which if you do not complete before 8.10am it lock out and tells you to try again tomorrow I was asked to drop off a urine sample. I dropped this off, and a week later still in pain heard nothing, so I decided to call reception. After negotiating what I can assume is a deliberate, non sensical options menu with so many pre recoded messages basically telling you to call someone else or go else where, I managed to get into a queue. After 45 minute of being in the queue I was told by an either disintrested or overworked receptionist nothing was found in the urine, I asked why I hadn't been told this in over a week and instead of accepting any accountability, I was told I should take it as no news is good news, after that the phone call ended. I then went back into the 'anima' app where the doctor had actually said they wanted to speak with me of the results came back negative, so again after waiting another 45 minutes on call, I was told sorry we will call you back. I won't hold my breath, though. I'll hopefully be transferring GP in the coming weeks as this place is putting people's health in danger by being disintrested and treating patients as inconveniences. I'm lucky that I have no long term or serious ailments as far as I'm aware, But if you are unfortunate enough to suffer from long term or life threatening conditions please consider another surgery as this surgery seems like an incident waiting to happen.
