Brilliant surgery. First time using the new Anima system - filled out a request at 8am and had an appointment booked later that day. I was seen by a nurse & GP, with a referral to the hospital made at the appointment also. Always had great experiences with the old online system, would get a call back quickly and offered a same day appointment when it was needed. Have always found all the staff here to be friendly and helpful. I really recommend this surgery!
Impressed with new reception staff. Carolyn, especially, helpful, friendly and polite. An obvious improvement from before when ringing the surgery was a chore. Not an easy job, especially with new appointment system online! I had no issues and was sorted quickly, be kind everyone!
This surgery used to be great, but lately, it's shocking, I phone to book an appointment just to see a nurse 3 times during the day & it rang out each time for over 20min.. day wasted. So again today I rang at 8am 20 mins past no reply so I drove to the surgery whilst phone still ringing them, walked into the surgery phone still ringing them to find an empty surgery all bar one patient, could hear no phones ringing & 2 receptionists non the wiser!!!!. I said my phones ringing you and has been for half hour now, just got a blank look!!. So who answers the phones or were they on silent!!. Having a full on full time job I don't want to be driving to the surgery because the phone doesn't get answered not to mention my issue could have been resolved over the phone.
Delapre medical Centre is a horrible GP. I have had 3 appointments with them from which I was turned away. For one of the 3, I was turned away because I had not done something which they haven't told me anything about. This was crutial information which they were meant to tell me about for my appointment and just missed out completely and blamed me for that when I showed up the next time. For 2 of my appointments, I had to wait between 10 and 20 mins after my dedicated appointment time to be called in and discuss with the doctor. By the 3rd time, I was late by 7 minutes because of traffic and they refused to accept me, despite being seen up to 20 minutes later the times before. Additionally, every time they adress me, they are always dismissive and rude and behave in an unacceptable manner. I do not speak very well English, and I get especially nervous when speaking with doctors. They have always been nice and kind to my daughter who sounds and looks British, but as soon as they speak to me, a person who is obviously not from this country they suddenly start being rude and awful and dismissive. The staff at Delapre medical centre are racist and seem to always turn away people from foreign countries, as this has also happened to my husband whos English is also obviously a 2nd language. Stay away from them as much as possible.
Worst doctors surgery I have ever been too. I was told out of the blue that I was no longer a memer of the surgery. When I turned up to pick up my repeat prescription which I have been using my whole life I was told by the pharmacy that Delapre medical centre had not signed of the prescription. When I went back next door to the doctors they said they were unable to sign it off even though I’ve been with them for nearly 10 years and had been getting the exact same Asma medication. I was just trying to get my inhalor wich I completely rely on and the staff couldn’t have been more unhelpful, more unbothered or just out right rude. Extremely happy to never set foot in there again.
Receptionist today just told "use online doctor link" and drop the call. Even didn't ask about my problem...the last four years only once I have chance to visit this medical centre and see a doctor...online doctor links - are useless, twice I tried, but unsuccessful...i visit by myself, was offered appointment "after two weeks" I don't need them...the problem is desiase of sloppiness and bad organization of process to make appointment...
I used the new online system to put my symptoms in and a receptionist called me within a minute and I was seeing the prescribing nurse within an hour. Thank you for the wonderful service .
Always busy but always do their best. Getting an appointment can be hard same as anywhere but 1st rate when face to face. Reception is really helpful as well.
Amazing surgery great staff specially a young lady called Hayley very professional and experienced member of staff credit to NHS. Very smooth and easy to book appointments thank you.
Been at this medical centre since I was born, no issues with the doctors & nurses once you get an appointment, that’s where this place is past awful, trying to get an appointment, test results leave you upset & frustrated. Even when they test you to contact the medical centre you can’t get through. Rude and unhelpful staff is the biggest problem here, we all understand the demands but there no need to be rude and disrespectful, I’d rather go to the camphill centre as totally different experience. With all the one stars on here if this was my practice I would making some immediate changes..!!!
