I suffer with cluster headaches/migraines & having a bad flare up for the past 2 weeks & can I get an appointments, nope because apparently by MAX 8:05 there is no appointments on Anima.nMy previous encounter was for MRI results - got the results by text saying it’s this, this & this but not cancer & that was it. No follow up to discuss what they had found & how to treat it, just basically get along with it.nThe newer receptionists need lessons in compassion & how to speak to people - I have worked here years ago … myself & the older receptionists would never speak to a patient like these receptions do!nMy daughter saw an amazing student dr, who told me to book her in to see Jack the nurse again, amazing nurse 3 days after starting antibiotics for a bad chest infection. Off I go to reception to book it to be met by the most damn right horrible, rude receptionist….”well I can’t book that, you need to ask the nurse” sorry what, I need to ask the nurse,” - me knowing full well you can get someone to unblock the appointment if requested by a drnOf she goes huffing & puffing because she’s actually had to get up off her chair to return & day “I have a free appointment tomorrow, why can’t you come then” to my reply “because the dr said either of the 2 days I gave” off she goes again to return biting my head off saying “it’s booked for Monday but if you don’t need it make sure you cancel it” My reply was no I won’t because if you had listened the dr wants the breathing test done with the nurse & walked out. - this is the same receptionist who hasn’t got a clue in confidentiality - asking another patient in a full surgery while dealing with me what is sample was for & why he had to do it - then her getting angry because he wouldn’t discuss it in a full surgery.
Save yourself and don’t register with them. I suffer mental health , this surgery made me so anxious and angry , you unable to book any appointment moreover incompetent receptionists only there to tell you to bugger off when you in your worst moments. Please please save yourself and avoid, after 3h sleep having to get up just to find out you can’t depart or GP
Waited 15 minutes for the phone to be answered. Receptionist was terse when I asked why I had a text message to provide blood pressure figures. It apparently was “an administration error” and “nothing to do with reception. Just ignore it”. Just wasting my and their time.
Rude staff, never answering phone despite being available at reception. Patronising way of speaking and and refusing help. Sending you to hospital for things they can deal. No support or help during pregnancy.
I have been concerned about seeing GPs at the surgery at the moment, to the point of actively avoiding contact. Access seems alot harder to facilite and the and the quality the appointments has been very inconsistent and not always postive.nnHowever I want to highlight a very postive experience I had with a locum - a Dr Garvin- today. I felt listened to and properly communicated with and I hope this locum passes through here again. The local community would benefit from GP's of her calibre and manner.
