Great lil place for a meal! Pub Gardens is lush and pretty, the menu is basic but BURGERS ARE HOMEMADE! This is such a rarity and the burgers tasted great! We loved sitting there and chatting and staff were lovley and helpful! Only thing my Mr wants me to add is that the Madrid logo on his 2 pints was scratched meaning he couldn't get a good madri pint pic for his socials lol.
First visit to Oakham little sad l couldn't shop as l have mobility scooter but Lunch made up for it. There is nothing like Pub Grub in a real Pub Steak n Ale Pie was delicious couldn't finish. Lovely little cosy pub. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
First found this place pre covid. Called in for lunch on our way to Uppingham for a reunion. Loved it so much went back next day. Very friendly, welcoming staff, some nice cask ales and good food. Log fire when it is chilly. Will be back next year at our next reunion.
Wonderful, cosy traditional pub with open fire. Great range of well kept cask ales. Well worth a visit!
Good beer, great setting, lovely village pub
Nice pub, good food - generous portions. Will be nice in summer to eat in the garden.
Super friendly and helpful staff and team, food was delicious, well priced and proper pub grub, wide variety of drinks and ales and dogs friendly, bonus!
Nice cosy pub, warm welcome. Food was exceptional especially the sweet chilli sauce. Would highly recommend.
Warm welcome good ale, must go back and try the food, booking ahead suggests very popular.
