I visited today with family. All the staff were super friendly. Went above and beyond. Even brought a taster pot of soup for my son so he could make sure he liked it before ordering. Food was lovely and all served at the same time. We will definitely be back. 1st class. Well done. Would highly recommend
Booked a table here tonight for a treat for my in laws. It was so disappointing, it was freezing cold there did not appear to be any heating on which made sitting there very uncomfortable especially for my father in law who has Cancer and really feels the cold the only apology was when we mentioned it for a second time on receiving the Bill. The food was tasty but was cold very quickly, people from the market were using the pub as a short cut coming in the front and out the back door. If we had known in advance we would have cancelled our booking. The service was also slow all in all a huge disappointment
Food was the saving grace. The service was shocking. We tried three or four times to order before, after half an hour, it was taken. At the same time the couple on the next table, who arrived after us, managed to order and received their food before we managed to order. The food then took another half hour to arrive.
Unfortunately not a good stay. They had the misfortune of a water supply failure late evening. Didn't discover the reason. It was dealt with fairly efficiently and resumed during the night. A defective headboard on the bed should have been spotted. It knocked against the wall disturbing my sleep. Breakfast included - as I left before 8 in the morning I went without. No price reduction I asked poor show. After an email to the manager I was given compensation. The matter was dealt with v professionally. I would stay at the hotel again If I was in the area. After this review I was contacted by the hotel management and was given a full refund which was much appreciated.
We love this traditional country pub, it has a lovely garden/yard area fur eating and drinking in the summer, it’s hit a lovely chilled atmosphere. Great service too.Recommended dishesVegan Gnocchi
Stayed here for a couple of nights Great room more like a suite in a separate block on the ground floor quite homely and luxurious will stay here again Rooms: Excellent value for money
Just popped in for a drink - staff great - gave us some bread and oils which was not expected. Prices reasonable will go back to eat
