If you're expecting a super modern museum with flawless interactive tech or beautifully curated blockbuster exhibits, you might be a bit disappointed in parts. But for what it is — a city museum providing lots of variety — it's worthwhile.
Really nice museum, we entered and a lovely volunteer guided us towards everything you can also get a map. Four floors of exhibits and you can spend as much time as you want here. Also has a gift shop on second floor, a lift that provides accessibility, and a cafe on the ground floor. Also enjoyed the history of miffy exhibit and the mummy.
A lovely way to spend an hour or even more depending on how much you love the history of Leeds and some even older, like Roman, Greek and Egyptian artifacts. There are three full floors of exhibits and displays and things of interest scattered about not really scattered but placed , for your viewing pleasure. Loads of families were here when I visited as a solo adult. There's free wifi, toilets, a lift, a cafe and a gift shop. Donations appreciated of course. The staff are very nice and friendly and will point you in the direction or give you most any info you are looking for. Enjoy your visit !
Loved it. Came here during half term with my children and they were captivated and interested in everything they saw. Could’ve spent a lot longer there if I was on my own.
