I took the train from Datchet to Putney, changed for Wandsworth town, and the train station was clean and well organised, trains running frequently and on time. Busy train but everyone calm and very polite. Wandsworth town, south west London is very beautiful and full of cafes, restaurants, and bars. Friendly neighbourhood, and I got help from a lovely local walking his dogs for directions. Architecture is fascinating with so many old building restorations, and there are stunning modern apartments, too. Town centre has a huge, well stocked Sainsbury. Easy Uber ride to my final destination on the edge of town. Highly recommended plenty of trains running til late
Just a normal train station which is served by Southwestern Railway with trains going to Waterloo and Richmond. There is no disabled access to the platforms only stairs. The station is very basic nothing much inside and just a staff staff member on the ticket barriers. The station was clean and tidy.
Clean and tidy station near some great coffee shops. Away from busy main terminal of Waterloo, its very peaceful and off the tourist routes.

Despite a revamp a few years ago Wandsworth Town station still looks a bit run down.nnThe ambience of the station is a bit gloomy during daylight, and I suspect it's more uncomfortable when it's quieter at night.nnStaffing appears to be part time only and the station is left to run itself the rest of the time.nnThere are four platforms reached by fairly long staircases.nnThere is no step free access at all. For step free access, the alternatives are Putney and Clapham Junction stations either side.nnTrain services are operated by SWR and there's a reasonable service west out of London and good services into Waterloo.nnBe aware, in peak times Waterloo trains do arrive very packed and boarding can be difficult.nnAlso on westbound services, platform alterations do occur. It is not unusual for passengers to have to go back downstairs and cross over to the next platform, often at short notice. Difficult if you have luggage or find stairs a bit awkward.nnPlatforms 1and 4 are lacking in seating and covered areas to keep out of the weather.nnOnly the middle two platforms have a proper canopy and seating available.nnA characterful station maybe, but certainly not very user friendly.
