The station has a toilet! It feels a little unloved tho, but if you’re in the need for the toilet then it works well of course. You’ll have to pay to go into the Station to use it, but I think if you tap in and back out at the same station in a certain time frame you’ll get your money back. The station otherwise has long platforms with freight trains and Uber ground lines.
This station is served by London Overground and Southern trains. The district line only stops here on public holidays weekends and when some events are on at Olympia. There is exits and entrances on both platforms the platforms are long and wide. When events are on at Olympia the station can be very busy.
A very good station with frequent services to Stratford, Watford Junction, East Croydon and Earl's Court. However there is construction work outside and there are no signs for the station on nearby streets. Also it's nearly impossible to not have a track/signal failure or a trespass at least once per week.
Clean Station with facilities of toilets which is very rare now. Friendly staff alway there to assist.
I bought an e ticket Return from Brighton - Kensington Olympia station. There’s no e scanner at this station. It’s ok going out bec there’s staffs at that main platform where the staffs office is located. But at the other platform, where’s there’s no staff around, I have to pressed the Assitance button. It’s been several times now using the e ticket that I missed my train to Clapham Junction because nobody’s answering the assistance button. At least put one ticket scanner on either end or the staffs answer. I don’t think it’s busy at the other end… I don’t want to missed another train so I have to tap my bank card. I spend double for this trip, so annoying big sigh As soon as I was inside the platform, that’s the time the staff answered the answering button, too late! Hopefully, in the future they will do something about it.
