We visited yesterday to watch 28 Years Later. Plenty of outside parking available right up to the cinema doors. The complex itself The Meridian is well kept and great for family outings.nnThe cinema is clean, spacious and comfortable. Plenty of drinks and food to choose from if required, and has toilet's as you enter which is obviously convenient.nnThe screening area was clean and tidy, it had air-conditioning which is fantastic as it was a hot day and very stuffy. The staff were polite, helpful and pleasant to deal with.nnThe only criticism I have is a small one. Me and my wife both said there was no seating in the reception entrance area. We had to wait 20 minutes and were left standing. Also, the colour theme as a whole seemed to be clinical black. Remembering back to the 90s cinemas were packed with vibrancy, loads of fun happy colours, neon lighting, posters, cardboard standees. Now it just seems to be themed mostly in the black and grey safe zone. Just a thought
Good, clean and well-kept cinema. However fire exit light placement interrupts the immersion I know they're for health and safety but placing them underneath or next to the screen is distracting. Also last time I went, I watched 'A Minecraft Movie' in a screen with just other teenagers having a good time but they stopped the film so many times about three. But overall, quite good.
It's very clean and tidy with pleasant efficient staff, screens are good, seats are comfortable.nHowever, the tickets are advertised as cheaper online and then your stung with a £1.50 PER TICKET, booking feennWhether you book online or purchase at the cinema, a £1.50 booking fee PER TICKET is just a con to get more money
No arcade or anything else to do, no where to sit at all, only seats in the building are in the actually screenings. Came into screening 8-10 minutes before showing and had to listen to cleaning lady's rant about not coming in early I explained my 7 year old wanted to sit down somewhere since there was nothing else to do here. Seats do not recline but tickets and combo boxes are cheap will not be coming back. Would rather pay more to get treated better not have to deal with arguing with staff or listening to rants made me and other guests feel very unwelcome here... if you do decide to come i would suggest coming later than the show time to avoid laps in other showings to avoid dealing with what we all had to deal with coming on time.
Went to watch a film last night with my wife. Have a nice evening with a meal before. Film was good, seats comfortable but unfortunately was let down by the fact it was so cold in the auditorium. Ended up keeping my jumper and coat on and still felt cold which detracted from watching the film at times
