first time visiting this cinema this evening. we paid £14.50 per ticket which i thought was pretty pricey for a wednesday showing! i liked that you could order food and drink via a kiosk machine. the staff we interacted with were very friendly. our seats in screen 3 were ripped and head rests not the most comfortable, but they did recline which was nice. not the busiest either which i enjoyed. great amenities nearby with a few restaurants and places to drink, we had a meal before our film started.
Odeon Luxe in Freemans Park is in a great spot with a Nandos and a pub on the same site, which makes it easy to plan a full trip out. There is plenty of parking and it is free as long as you validate your car before leaving.nnThe cinema itself is a good size with lots of screens along with a Costa, a bar and a food counter. Prices are what you usually see in cinemas, for example a standard hotdog is seven pounds. There is also a Tango Ice Blast machine and self service ticket machines which speed things up.nnThe main downside was how cold it was inside. It was already cold outside and even with coats and scarves we needed blankets during the film. The lack of heating made the experience uncomfortable at times.nnThe seats do have swivel desks which are really useful for food and drinks and they have large cupholders which help avoid spills. Overall the facilities are good and the location is excellent, but the temperature issue really let the visit down.
I like the seats, but please sort out the appalling queuing system. You have to queue for a drink at the bar, then queue again and wait for a cup. I understand waiting for food collection but why do I have to wait for a cup? Surely the first staff member taking the order can just hand one over?nSeats are comfy and the smaller screen rooms are nice, but there's not much benefit over going to Showcase - Service is quicker and more efficient there.
I visited the cinema with my family for the April 1 2026 showing of the new Super Mario brothers movie and it was a great atmosphere, recliner seats make the movie experience better as more room in the aisles creates plenty of space, free parking with plenty of spaces including disabled spaces. It has a variety of good food choices at reasonable prices and also serves alcohol and hot drinks. Signposting is good and you are encouraged to register your vehicle for parking from when you enter the cinena. Staff are efficient and courteous and queues were minimal. I would definitely recommend this venue.
Overall, really happy with my visit today, probably the best cinema i've been in for a long time. The foyer and cinema screen were both really clean, and it was quick to order a drink and popcorn as well. The popcorn was awesome also- hot, fresh and actually flavoured with sugar/salt which was a happy first for me. The seats were so comfy- at first I thought I was in the wrong one honestly because in any other cinema, it would have been the vip pay extra seat. Fully reclined, had a table for your drink and popcorn, perfect. Screen was really clear and sound was crisp.nnOnly issues were firstly the temperature- it was very cold in there so had to put coat back on halfway through film, and this is from someone who loves being cold. The toilets were the second issue. Really badly signposted. The ladies toilets sign leads to the changing places and disabled loos but I couldn't find the ladies at all so had to use them, even wondered accidently into the mens loos because the sign looked exactly like the sign for a ladies toilet, so embarrassing!!
