Dolphin Inn is a fun and clean youth hotel in the centre of London offering budget accommodation.

Story

Welcome to the Dolphin Inn, where you will feel at home. We offer great accommodation at budget prices where you can rent either a room or a bed. Situated in Paddington, on a garden square, we are in an ideal position to explore all London's sites.

Rooms are spacious & some have fridges & TV's. There is a kitchen, a dining area & a TV Lounge for the use of our guests. There are plenty of communal bathrooms in the hotel.
Dolphin Inn is a clean and friendly no smoking environment.

One of the beds was broken, and the other one was partially broken as well. The bed made sounds all night. You could feel the vibrations in the entire room and also hear the underground. The door of the shower couldn’t be closed and the window of the bathroom was also broken and couldn’t be opened. The bedsheets were also dirty and looked like they hadn’t been washed at all. The room stank like chlorine. The service was awful. The staff was really rude. They sent us away while we were eating our breakfast, because there weren’t enough tables, just because someone on our table looked at their phone. There were other people in the breakfast room that had already finished as well and had been there longer than us. Going up to the rooms was a nightmare. The higher you went it became steeper and narrower, and you almost couldn’t go up with your luggage. The location was alright and quite central close to the underground
I was relocated to this hotel as the one I had booked was under renovations. The staff were incredibly friendly, always a good morning and a smile, very welcoming for a newcomer to the area like myself! The only reason this is a four star is the sheets on the bed weren't the cleanest and there were stains on the carpet, other than that the room was very comfortable, the TV didn't really have anything I'd watch but it's got the usual suspects, BBC, ITV, Film4. 9/10, highly recommend.
The rooms were dirty, the beds were uncomfortable and we couldn't even sleep on a bed because it was broken. Going up to the 4th floor with our luggage and taking the small stairs was absolute hell. The rooms were too small and it was too hot in the room. Absolutely not recommended. The staff is really unfriendly and you just don't feel welcome. I would give this hotel a solid 2 stars if rounded up...
Amazing location, friendly staff, fresh for London. Rooms aren't massive, but good enough. Staff was very helpful and polite. Location is great close to supermarket, restaurants, cafes and Paddington station. Would come back.Rooms: 4/5
Rooms were absolutely horrid with no air conditioning especially for the price. The bathroom was the size of a small closet and had the upgrades and design of a prison. Our room was on the top floor with NO ELEVATOR. Stairs were extremely narrow and steep with there being 8 sets to go up and down everyday. Taking luggage up and down the stairs felt like an extreme tripping/falling hazard. Ceilings of our floor were MOLDY and the whole hotel felt suffocated. Breakfast food was okay but there was no space to eat as there’s maybe five tables for the whole hotel…. The location is okay as its close to the bus and metro but so is everything in London so this is nothing special.
The rooms were terrible, no air conditioning whatsoever. Looks like it was an old house that they converted into a hotel. Very overpriced for such terrible rooms. The bathroom was built like a prison bathroom, the soap dispensers were falling apart and it was an extremely small shower. Breakfast was okay, although there wasn’t many options for vegetarians. The location wasn’t great because although it was near bus stops and metros, it was hard to find it when first trying to check in. The stairs were very narrow and are a safety hazard when climbing up or down especially with luggage and no elevator. Overall definitely a catfish hotel.
It's just OK. Great service, easy booking, and no problems. The rooms are dated. The shower was really narrow. My elbows hit the sides when washing my hair. The trains rumble the room as the station is underneath, so in the morning, you are woken up. The location is great and the place was clean, fridge in room. Just needs re painting and carpet and extending the shower
Our room lacked air conditioning which made it uncomfortable during our visit when it was exceeded 30c. Unfortunately because of the hotel being very close to Paddington Underground, you could hear and feel the trains leaving every 10-15 minutes through a good portion of the night and daytime. It was close to food and shops just on the other side of the block, and only a 5 minute walk from the Paddington underground and rail station. Rooms: The room was quite loud and rumbled a bit every 10-15 minutes due to being near Paddington station. Walkability: 5 minute walk from Paddington underground and rail station. Close to food and shops.
In the basement so there was a rumble from the tube but the room was spotless, comfortable and spacious. Staff were all great and the breakfast was really good.Rooms: 5/5
We booked a 5 person room via Travelocity. Based on photos we were expecting 2 double beds and a single bed. When we arrived we climbed the very narrow stairs up to the fourth floor to have two singles pushed together and two bunk beds 6 singles total. One of the bunks squeaked a lot with any sort of movement or pressure. None of the areas outside of the lobby looked like the photos. The dining area was close but misleading and small. There is an upcharge of $3 if you want a full English and you have to pay it at the front desk prior to breakfast. All in all the space was way too stuffy and hot, nothing was like it was pictured and the lady who checked us in was pretty short with us. The showers were atrocious as well. No pressure, bad heads, and base would flood and overflow. If you book this place be prepared to be right above the underground lines or up on the 5th floor navigating the stairs of doom. Clean rooms though. Rooms: Clean but weird. Noteworthy details: Not like the photos.
