Story

Matlock Farm Park is a family friendly open farm set in a beautiful and tranquil location.
The park has a large selection of animals including llamas, goats, meerkats, turkeys, peacocks, deer, cattle, wallabies, ducks, alpacas and sheep to name but a few.
The pet rabbits are always a favorite with the children along with the opportunity to help feed the young lambs (seasonable). Children will learn about the countryside and have fun alone the way.
Children's parties are catered for and horse riding lessons and pony trekking is also available by advanced booking. There are several play areas too for the kids to let off steam!
There is also a lovely licensed cafe serving homemade meals and snacks.

Kids loved it. Held some animals. did a picture hunt .went on the pony ride .had dinner in the cafe very nice. Walk around the place looking at the animals. Playing on the parks because they are several .bouncy castle. And some coin operated electric tractors on a track. But take warm clothes it's a bit exposed. Looking like a new building is being  put up.

Great day had by all.
Lovely pleasant staff, reasonable prices for ice cream and chips.There is a Kiosk and cafe. Plenty of seating for picnics.
Loved the ferret and sheep race only problem staff a little late on the times on the schedule.
Traditional Punch and Judy show on today which was great!!! Our 10 year old has never laughed so much in ages!!
Lovely little farm park although probably not as good on a rainy day as only a few things indoors.

Had a great day here with the kids. Lots of animals to see and play areas for the kids. There's a cafe and hide shop and you can buy a bag of animal food so the kids can feed the animals as they walk around the park. We took a picnic for lunch and there are some picnic tables.

Great for a family day out.

Quite disappointed with the animal handling staff. One girl was doing each activity and she didn't seem interested at all. She didn't talk about any of the animals to the children. The potential is there to make it a really good experience.
The only member of staff who wanted to talk to us and who was enthusiastic was one of the Cafe staff.
