Really enjoyed our overnight stay. Very clean room and bathroom, lovely and warm with comfy bed. The reception staff were so friendly and helped explain about the parking. Worth paying the little bit extra for the plus room for the hot chocolate and KitKat!
In terms of Travelodges, this is one of the worst I've been in.nnTo note, the car park is paid for, £6 per night with no guaranteed spaces. This is a massive, and frankly, outrageous oversight that should be resolved. Me and my family are staying for 4 nights in two seperate rooms, priced at £445.92. Adding £24 for parking, £30 unstable paid WIFI which is pretty much the only option for WIFI with a poor signal, £167.20 for complimentary breakfast - the total adding to £667.12. The seafront Premier Inn would cost £673.84 for the same, if not better, services, and a better location for £6.72 more. Some food for thought.nnRegardless, our first room two rooms were poor, dimly lit, and immediately had a noise issue. The receptionist at the desk was helpful enough to provide us with a different, slightly better, room.nnIn general, I can't complain too much for a room that provides very basic fundamental services. But, for the price, it could be easily updated and a lot better.
Room was ok clean but carpet had quite a few stains .nEntry card was problem so had to have it changed even then only one worked .nThe one receptionist was amazing couldn't do enough for you ,but other staff didn't seem to care couldn't even look at you when speaking to you.nTV forget it picture was constantly distorted.nCarpark small but we did get a space in disabled bay I do hold a blue badge .nWe stayed just 2 nights which was enough . Shower/ toilet was what it was for what you paid small and shower was very slow and week water flow even on full .nRoom got cold even with attempt to put heating up,this was controlled by them so surly rooms should be at constant warm temperature?nWe eat out so to the food supplied I can not comment on .
Came to stay here for 4 night due to work, booked in with meal deals added. Rooms are OK but small, and the shower is poor, parking is charged at £6.00 a day and your lucky to get a space. Food in the hotel is very poor indeed, only a choice of a few mains and on most there is a extra charge of £1.50p even a can of Pepsi is £4.25 and that is just a joke. The staff are not friendly at all and rude at times. Would not recommend at all.
Clean, comfy bedroom Standard + , and though the desk was only adequate in size, the bed made up for it. Breakfast was fantastic, putting many more expensive hotels to shame, and all the staff I met were super friendly and mega helpful. Add in the incredible value given you are in Torquay, with two flat and level car parks, and it's got to be five stars.
