Paid for this trip for my parents, the hotel is very old and looks it. The first room they were given, smelled of damp and the carpet and bed runner were covered in stains. After initially complaining they were told there were no more rooms, however in complaining a second time they were given a marginally better room. This hotel need a complete refurbishment and the sooner the better,
Convenient location for the sea front and lovely bar and restaurant inside.nnIf I hear another seagull it will be too soon along with the smell of all the seagull mess.nnWater pressure made showering a little difficult and with the windows only being able to open a few inches safety, the room was very hot and uncomfortable nnStaff were amazing and extremely friendly and helpful.
I can not talk more highly about the staff here! Everyone is so helpful and friendly. I felt very safe. The hotel room was so clean, modern and the king bed was amazing! The only things I would suggest is more power point sockets in the walls as I had to use one of the heaters socket and for staff to walk guest up to their rooms as it is such a large hotel.
Had the best time in this lovely hotel by the sea..amazing views from room. Ellen on reception took care of all our needs so sweet and kind...as well as funny. Definitely coming back..my stay made me fall in love with Scarborough.
Room was very dated especially the bathroom. Curtains all drawn when we opened them it was easy to see why bird muck all over the windows & there was no view. It was ok for us as we were at a wedding so didn't spend much time there but I'd say basic at it's most basic
