Story

The only 4 star hotel on the Yorkshire coast; under an hour’s journey from York, Hull, Middlesborough and Leeds; making an excellent base from which to discover the real Yorkshire; the dales, moor and coastal hamlets. The hotel dominates the centre piece of a listed Victorian terrace which commands the finest cliff top location of any Yorkshire coast hotel. Looking south to Flamborough Head and north to the castle and Harbour and vistas of the sea and South Bay beach. The “Scarborough Spa Theatre Complex” is very close and the vibrant town centre to the North is just a short walk along the quiet and exclusive South Cliff Esplanade over the iron built “Spa Pedestrian Bridge” which towers above the “Rotunda Museum” and “Aquarium Top."

We stayed in room 204, our stay was just for one night and I wish we'd booked 2 night. Spacious and clean room with a sea view, comfy beds and a nice bathroom with a big deep bath.nVery friendly helpful staff, even before we arrived. I'd emailed prior to arrival to ask about parking and Ellee was very helpful.nBreakfast was lovely and drinks in the lounge gave a cosy homely feel and were reasonably priced.nThe spa was good but we must have gone in peak time as it was very busy and found the pool temperature cool but it didn't stop us having a lovely experience. Will definitely be returning.
A lovely stay, great staff, so friendly and professional, good location and nice warm rooms with good shower and a very comfortable bed.nWe booked a deal directly with the hotel, we had rooms at the back but very pleasantly suprised by the quality and service.nAlso a very nice spa area and social area to sit and play games/chat after dinner.nHighly recommend, we will be back.nSpecial shout out to the manager and waitress.
I have stayed in many 4-star hotels, and in my experience, Crown Spa Hotel does not meet 4-star standards — I would rate it closer to a 2-star hotel.nThe room was not properly cleaned, the carpets were ripped and dirty, and the bathroom bath and toilet was also unclean. The tea, coffee, and milk provided were very limited and not enough for a couple.nThe only positive point is the excellent location and beautiful sea view.nParking costs £10, and even then, you may not find a space.nOverall, I would not stay here again.
We stayed here as a couple for valentines.nWe had a sea view room which was big and great views.nThe carpet had more ripples in it that the alps.nI have never stayed in a supposedly 4* hotel that the room does not get made up and the tea, coffee and milk does not get topped up or the bed made. Bad service for a 4*.nThe spa and swimming pool was good.nThis hotel could be really good but need some work
We stayed at the Crown Spa Hotel for a couple of days this week. We had been re-directed by Carl at the Norbreck, a sister hotel which we'd been originally booked in at through Groupon when in actual fact the package we'd booked wasn't actually available. Thanks to Carl his help! The reception staff at The Crown quickly sorted us out when we arrived and we were booked into a lovely executive suite double room. They offered us the same deal we should have had which included bed, breakfast, an evening meal plus a bottle to go out meal. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. A big shout out especially to Miguel who looked after us throughout in the restaurant. Great guy with a fantastic work ethic. He's an asset to the hotel. All in all a really enjoyable pre-Christmas stay. We will return
