Used the burger king/Greg's as we were hungry travelers..good service in Greg's.. poor service in burger King.. could not order at counter so had to go on the screen thing..I'm almost 75 could not use it..my cousin had to do it but took ages ..food did come fairly quick though...do not use the toilets unless desperate..and wipe your feet as you leave..toilets are in like a little corridor. First 2 are ladies nxt 2 are gents I prefer separate ladies to gents..didn't like it at all..floors were wet and dirty..God knows when they were last cleaned.
Lovely little place to stop off for the night. Front desk staff are great. Very welcoming and accommodating. Standard rooms. Standard prices. But it's the staff that make this particular Travelodge. A burger king and a 24hr off license that sells fuel is a massive bonus. Highly recommend if ya stuck in the area overnight.
Up a1 and station road takes to Morpeth 16 minutes car drive , morisons and shops there. However there's petrol station next to entrance here travelodge, Decent large car park. There's burger king literally outside entrance which is handy also cheap prices for food drinks as I tried out and food Is very pleasant. I haven't come across bar yet , to soon to rate the service and rooms at this point I'll wait till tomorrow when I publish pictures of my stay , Receptionist and manager at reception is fantastic, very warm welcome. Had been polite whilst checking us in , very happy and pleased of this today 22mayWed. Helpful, helped us check in earlier which was very thoroughtfull. Room here has beach effect with light blue bin. Chair , beds with also cyan blue paint wall with colorful large painting so very cool atmosphere . Also included single guest folded frame, bed and double bed with light wood head rest. Also has red bar stool chair with red light blue and grey striped curtains is also good touching with atmosphere of this room.
Straight off main road reception was helpful clean and tidy rooms and had the obligatory tea and coffee and right nextto petrol station and maccys for brekky Rooms: 5/5
Basic nice clean rooms to a good standard as usual. Comfortable ,good shower/bath.Rooms: 5/5
Wallet went missing off my bed after cleaner went in, shower broke, beds not set up for twin room first night, second night again beds not set up for a twin room booking, filthy poo stained mattress and dirty head marks, where they ppl haven't put on the bedding. Guessing because same as me the bed wasn't set up for ppl. Disgusting really.
Stayed here for a night with my family with 2 dogs which was great! Everyone was accommodating Lovely clean rooms Natalie at reception was very helpful and friendly Cleaners super chatty and nice too Thanks so much!

Have stayed here on quite a few occasion the location is great. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean and cool. The staff are always friendly and very obliging especially Joanne the manager always a warm welcome and a Friendly smile nothing is to much trouble for her also the housekeeping staff go above and beyond to make our stay a pleasure,we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Newcastle as we feel like family not just guests Always look forward too staying here. Rooms: Great spacious clean, and most of all cool especially for me when getting ready to go out. Walkability: Great location easy to get around fabulous location very accessible.
As expected, dated in need of repairs. Very noisy area ,only two pillows on the bed and mattress was very lumpy in need of replacement, no plug sockets near the bed for mobile phone .nearest is on the small entrance table .only enough tea and coffee for 4 cups ,not good . Bathroom smelt of damp ,only shower gel in a container on the wall in the shower and it cost £38 had to aye for WiFi. Maybe somewhere else would be better
