Great location next to China town, a station, close to Hippodrome theatre and a local Spar shop next door. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was nice and plentiful, layout does not help navigation when busy. Room was nice and clean and as we expected. Room we were in could do with a freshen up rectify paintwork and bathroom sealant, small attention to detail things etc. Overall a pleasant stay and would return
Nice place with very helpful and friendly staff. The room was a little small with a tiny TV, but was very clean and nicely furnished. Extra pillows were available in the room. The view was actually quite good for a city center location. Very good local area, at least during my stay. The bar was open late, and while small was quite friendly. No real complaints and would happily stay again.
honestly, i can’t fault this hotel at all, all staff were very welcoming and very friendly with children, breakfast was excellent, me and the kids left full and satisfied. the room was spacious and more than enough for 3 of us, views weren’t the greatest but to be honest i didn’t expect a luxury view. the only small let down was the area as there’s not a lot of nearby restaurants for kids, fussy kids may i add, if your kids like chinese food you are in luck Walkability: everything within a 10 min walk
Clean room, friendly staff lost my key and they were very nice about it, not a pleasant view but that’s to be expected considering the location! Room was very warm as I stayed during the heatwave and was on the top floor. I was only staying one night for a gig so would recommend it for short trips as it’s very close to the city centre. Would stay again :
I had a great stay at Travelodge Birmingham. The staff were very helpful during check-in and went above and beyond when I left my Kindle in the room. They quickly located it and made sure I got it back. Excellent service and truly appreciated them going the extra mile!"Rooms: 5/5
For the price and location for excellent value. Very central location. Clean room with a good view; could see Villa Park in the distance. £47 for a family room during the week. £3 for WiFi and £10 for early entry. Never used a Travelodge before. Would certainly do so again based on this. Breakfast £10 for as much as you can eat; good value if you are hungry as it was nice stuff. Rooms: Excellent; clean, spacious and good view. Walkability: Only a few minutes from New Street station. Food & drinks: Lovely breakfast. Good value.
Stayed here for 2 nights, the location was excellent, the restaurant and reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice and the rooms were good, clean and well presented, you get what you pay and it did the job as the bed was comfortable. Cons- I was confused by the housekeeping top up service and that you actually had to request to have your beds made and bins emptied. The TV practically didn’t work as the video and audio was completely messed up, the room was very hot with only a tiny desk fan provided. Also the housekeeping staff was quite rude, when I opened the door to let her in she gave me a funny look and said “what are you doing” and was constantly rolling her eyes when I asked for something. Overall I guess you get what you pay, and it did the job, so I would stay again.
Fairly typical Travelodge. Perfectly clean and functional but lacking any atmosphere they really need some lighting designers!. Close to Birmingham New Street station although not a pleasant or comfortable walk, especially after dark. Quite a lot of noise from outside. I ended up closing the window and vent, even on the 8th floor. Walkability: Close to city centre and main station. Lone travellers may prefer to get a taxi after dark
Modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast and evening meal extras surprisingly good and excellent value...also took account of my food allergy. The staff without exception are friendly and professional. I would especially compliment Rav for her outstanding customer service. Location is central and a few minutes walk from New St and Moor St Stations.
Great basic hotel in China Town and close to New Street train station. Stayed for the bargain price of £31 for 2 of us on a Bank Holiday Monday ready for an early appointment the next day. The breakfast was really good too. My son commented that the orange juice was proper juice and not watered down like in so many more expensive hotels. Good selection of breakfast items. Each member of staff that we encountered was friendly and appeared happy. I'd definitely stay here again. Rooms: Clean room with TV and kettle. Walkability: Close to New Street station and at the edge of the city centre.
