Recenently travelled for a 1 night stay. Had originally booked a two bedroom apartment but they were having problems with them so gave us two singles beside each other which worked out really well. The apartments are in a great location minutes walk from the bullring and station. Appartments were clean had hot water, comfortable beds, decent kitchen and facilities they were very spacious for the amount of time we were there. I would definitely recommend staying here and will be booking in the future on our return to Birmingham Nearby activities: Minutes from station and shopping centre
Check in was quick and car parking available as requested at time of booking. The apartment was spacious and clean. The downside was we had no hot water, someone came to fix it but said it would take 1-2 hours before we could use it. As we were about to attend a concert we didn't have time to wait and therefore had to have a cold shower and only one bath towel provided. Not what I would have expected after paying nearly £100 for the night. Disappointed really. * Edited to say thank you for your response, but there was no hot water to start with, we arrived and had to get ready to go straight out - we couldn't wait for two hours and to be fair, I expect hot water to be readily available when booking accommodation.
This was my home over 4 months on and off, as we were looking to buy a house and then had to wait for the exchange. Svetlana and her team were fantastic, efficient and very friendly. If I had any issues, they were seen to immediately and resolved. The suites are great, separate bedroom and lounge/kitchen. The kitchen had all the utensils required and a washing machine. There is a small utility cupboard in the hallway with iron/board & drying rack and broom. There is a 24 hour Spar next to the building, which is reasonably priced. It is a 10 minute walk to new Street Station and the Bullring, right by Chinatown and close to the nightclubs. It is quiet at night. There is limited parking round the back, for GBP12/day but you have to book it with reception at the time of booking, as there are not many spaces. I loved my stay, it felt like home at the end of the day and Svetlana and her team were just so lovely to deal with. Will definitely return, whenever I visit my in-laws in Sutton Coldfield.
I stayed 2 nights here and I wouldn’t recommend it. The shower in my room didn’t work; the temperature controller didn’t let me change the temperature of it, told the receptionist and apparently they were going to check it out but they never did so. Staff is nice and kind though! I wish I could’ve a proper shower or the problem resolved. I struggled to shower because it was way too warm! So I felt 0 comfortable about that. The apartment is beautiful, not renovated since the 90’s/2000’s it seems but it’s cute. Quite loud noise from the street. Next to a market and a big parking lot. Location is very central and that’s why I’m not fully disappointed but I feel like I threw money staying here.
Apartments are good for the price and well located. We only stayed for 1 night but they were exactly what we needed.Rooms: 4/5
TLDR: The elevator works again! we had a great stay and highly recommend this place, based on our experience Before coming here, I was slightly worried because I read the reviews just before arriving. The reason I did so, is because communication with the place was a little bit rough at first and I didn't receive a payment link till a few hours before arrival - so I was scared that we would be arriving there and get the news that our room was not properly booked I am a stressed traveler okay? :- But from there things went uphill fast. We received the payment link, paid, and got the follow up e-mail about the late check in etc. At arrival, the reception was still open so the lovely lady there gave us our keys + a promised bottle of wine deal on their website. And on top of all this: The lift works again! So we didn't have to use the stairs with our luggage - yay. The room was great - it's just a nice little appartment with a nice kitchen with stove, oven AND microwave + big fridge & freezer, laundry machine, living room, bathroom en bedroom. Everything looked clean - we closely checked things such as the bed because another big fear of mine was bed bugs - but everything was clean. Noise was not that much of an issue either. We did, however, keep into account that the hotel is in the center and so there is always some noise to be expected from the street - in our opinion this is not something a hotel could change. I brought some earplugs just in case and slept like a baby. Location was really good. It's walking distance from the train station and, even better, it's really close to China town! There's this cute, little bakery with the best food so highly recommend walking through that area if you are in birmingham. all in all a great stay at Premier Suites and would definitely recommend this place if you want something low budget*, high quality *low budget in comparison to other places in the area
Bad points - apartment was top floor and the lift was broken. Incredibly difficult to book onsite parking and I still ended up getting a parking fine after I’d pre-booked and confirmed my parking and reg with them 3 times, so they obviously didn’t put my reg in. Parts of apartment were a bit run down/broken not what I expected for the price I paid. Very strong smell of weed to welcome us the second we stepped out the car Good points - apartment was very spacious, warm, clean with good facilities.
Awesome service. Great location but the first issue the lift was broken so had to walk two flights of stairs which for someone with arthritis isn't good. The apartment was lovely and spacious. second issue the TV was in a foreign language and didn't work right also the cups for hot drinks was espresso size. The last issue was the noisy doors from other rooms/ apartment's and the street.
Room and location I have stayed 2 days and the location is very central . Sometimes it is loud in an alleyway if someone opens a room.Otherwise all good during stay. Staff The staff is very friendly . Parking I would give 4 star but post stay experience make it horrible as I have to keep chasing my PCN in my name . one star for parking Parking is available but be warned even if you booked parking previously there are high chances that you will get PCN notice.I have already contacted the office 2 times they said it will be cancelled but still chasing to clear my PCN
Arrived last night to no key, had to call management who requested for us to take someone else’s. All keys are put into a safe with different names on envelopes. It’s a shame they couldn’t get this right even when we called an hour before to say we were on our way. To top it off, the lift is not working and of course they didn’t dare to disclaim this prior to arriving. Had to carry our heavy bags up 5 flights of stairs. Woke up to no hot water to take a shower. When we called management on the number provided, we received no apology, very rude and mouthy woman. Will not be coming back.
