Average stay overall. The room was clean and functional, but fairly basic and showing signs of wear. Location is convenient, though the hotel could benefit from some updates. Fine for a short stay if you just need somewhere to sleep, but nothing particularly memorable.

I have stayed here many times and it's always been great. The staff are always so nice and friendly. Breakfast is do good with lots of choice for cooked and continental options.nnIt also has a well stocked bar. It's my goto Dundee spot when going to events at Mains Castle or in the city itself. It's also quite close to Dundee Law as a nice walk for great views of the city.nnIt is an older building but the rooms have been kept modern.

If you just need a place to sleep and nothing more, then it’s perfectly fine. Building was definitely old but it was clean and my room at the back was fairly quiet at night. Good busses to city centre.

Arrived at 3.40 with no one on reception, rang the number staff member came down who wasn't sure if our room was ready. Luckily it was be didn't get into room till 4, room had an over powering smell of bleach had to leave the window open to vent the smell.nnBar had little seating, choice or staffing.nnRoom was a decent size and clean, no noise etc bed was however uncomfortable.nnCorridors stank of weed.

Stayed here for two nights,  clean warm room and a decent bathroom,  great value at £30 a night for 2 people and handy for Dundee city centre,  could have done with more milk portions for tea/coffee but I suppose this helps keep the price low. Will definitely be back.
