Visited without a table reservation for dinner. We were greeted quickly and warmly and seated immediately.nnWithout exception the staff were superb but in particular our waitress was outstanding.nnStarter of beef spring rolls was good, olives were tasty but the bread was too well fired and the butter was heading for rancid.nnMains were excellent but the peppercorn sauce was watery and bland whilst the truffle mayo was synthetic and overpowering. Steak was delicious.nnSlightly disappointed that the window where we were seated had food stains all over it in a restaurant that was otherwise clean.
Stayed there for 3 days for my son’s basketball 4 nations tournament. The rooms were excellent and coffee machine and toiletries excellent. Had a lovely view of the dock. Breakfast was excellent continental was buffet style but cooked was ordered and they catered for your choices. Visited the pool and spa all of which was clean and had a really nice feel to it. All the staff whether at spa reception and breakfast were friendly and offered excellent service. By only small gripe is that the bar was only waiter / waitress service which meant there was quite a wait for drinks as the bar was quite busy when I was there. Again the staff apologised and it was no great issue. Would definitely visit and use again.
After a recent family bereavement, we decided to change things up this Christmas and travel to Dundee to see family there. So we booked a family room at Apex for Christmas night and Boxing Day.nnThe hotel has a real class about it and the views from the rooms are great. Our kids loved the pool too, and the spa had a nice feel to it. We had a few small niggles that came up but reception staff sorted them out David Field was great.nnEach night we went for drinks at the bar which had a good range at a good price. The bar area has a nice feeling about it. We also had dinner at the restaurant - again, it was pretty faultless. Breakfast was also good - cooked and continental.nnWe decided to book a 3rd night as we liked it so much. 100% will be back.
Stayed in the hotel twice now and we love it. Had a couples massage which was ace, the health suite is best around I know as I go to loads the food in the cafe/restaurant we cannot fault it. Right where you need it, take a walk along Tay Bridge and back in no time.
A stunning and well located hotel just a stones throw away from the city center. Good transport links being just a 10 min walk from the train station, and even less from the bus station. Staff are very accommodating and helpful, and the rooms are kept in a great state. Didn't eat here, however menu looks good and the restaurant / bar had a good buzz. Cocktails were, however, extremely good nnFamily friendly with good facilities.
