Great location. Minutes away from the Bristol Aquarium and SS Great Britain etc I highly recommend those attractions.nIf all you need is an overnight stay, then fine.nI would say bring your own towels though.nI'm not sure how or where this place does their laundry, but towels had a tinge of being washed with linen from a chip shop- you know, that tinge of chip fat.
Stayed here recently and can't say I'll ever use a Travelodge again.nnThe room was nice enough, very similar to an Ibis room in design, compact but what you need. So you would have thought but the mattress was awful, way too soft, and the pillow was like it had been run over. So we didn't get much sleep, which is the whole point of booking an overnight stay.nnThe food was also a big issue. We thought we'd try and eat something here before we went to a gig as didn't really have time to find somewhere else to go and eat. Huge mistake. We ordered a burger and chips and one of their 'freshly made inhouse' pizzas which came to a nice £27 with one 7up. The pizza wasn't freshly made and more than likely came out of a packet, but it was OK - nothing more. The burger was out of a microwave, which the member of staff who prepared it later admitted, when he was told the food was poor. The chips were grossly undercooked. The member of staff didn't seem too bothered and had us wondering if he actually had a food hygiene certificate. Should have paid attention to the two plates left on an uncleaned table that had most of the food still residing.nnThe whole stay was topped off by some people at 2am constantly going to one of the rooms knocking on the door for 5-10 minutes several times...nnIf you can get somewhere else before here, I'd recommend you do that.
Good location but hotel wasn’t great, The room was too small, mattress on the bed not comfy, cleanliness of the room wasn’t good. I asked for our room to be cleaned and replace the towels by the porter who was 2 rooms away, but he failed to do. 1 of our towels was dirty on arrival . The door key kept failing, had to keep going to reception to get it reset. The breakfast was good selection but the beans were in a cooking pot and were warm, the hash browns were hard and none tasty, overall not a clean hotel and definitely in need of updating.
I booked this hotel for 1 night and it did not begin well. The receptionist gave me the room number and key to the wrong, already occupied room. I had to explain and apologise to them why I had just entered their room - a major safeguarding issue. This was sorted out swiftly when addressed at reception but left a sour taste in my mouth.nnOur room was clean and modern, however both soap dispensers were empty. This meant we couldn't wash our hands or shower. Very disappointing.nnOverall location is good, a short walk to the city centre and parking is reasonably priced at £13 for 24 hrs.
AVOID!nnSo I stayed for about 5 weeks and this is my experience...nnService:nStaff are nice but 3 staff members that are middle age females on reception when I was there from 18th March - 23rd April 2024 were sometimes rude when requesting things like a vaccum.n1. Manger With a blazer and glassesn2. Older lady with glassesn3. Lady with short dyed hairnnThe lady who dose the 1st floor cleaning and etc Anna was mostly nice but sometimes gave hella attitude either with her facial expressions or her verbal responses.nnCleaning:nBecause I was homeless I was making food in the hotel and cause lots of ness sometimes, the vaccum was a self vacuuming robot relying on motion sensors and camera to go around and clean.nEven though it was a self-cleaning thing they refused to just put it in my room and turn it on to do or lend it to me.nnThey also said they deep clean every 7 days which was a lie because I had to request it multiple times to be done.nnAlso sometimes they forget to take the dirty used towels and give to receptionist to touch it and be disgusted by doing housekeeping job.
