I enjoyed my stay overall at the hotel.nnThe room I stayed in was spacious, the shower was great, and there were facilities in the room to make a tea in the morning before I checked out. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from Bristol Temple Meads station, and a couple of minutes walk from the main shopping district in the city centre.nnOne downside was soundproofing of the rooms. There were a few other people a family with young children staying in the adjacent rooms were talking loudly in the corridor, and going between each other’s rooms, between 10.15pm and 11pm or so. And, each time their doors shut, it was pretty loud. This stopped me getting to sleep, and I had to wake up early on the Sunday morning to travel home - so not ideal.nnAnother downside was the lifts. When I returned to my room on Saturday night, only one lift seemed to be operating. I had to wait a while, and my room was fairly high up, so stairs weren’t an option. On the morning of check out, there was a wait for the lift then too - by the time it reached the terrace floor, it was pretty full. I get that it gets busier in the morning due to breakfast, but it would have been ideal if the lifts were more frequent.nnOtherwise, a decent hotel.
What a lovely clean well looked after hotel. Staff were so nice and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The room was perfect. We normally stay at a different hotel when visiting Bristol. But will be only booking to stay here whenever we visit Bristol in future. Great secure parking next door and prices were very reasonable.
Right by the beautiful castle park and a stonesthrow away from the Cabot Circus shopping quarter. Cabot is slightly more expensive for shopping with shops like the Lego store and The North Face but you've got the other reasonably priced stores round the corner down the high street.nnThe hotel itself is quite beautiful and the staff are very helpful. The room wasn't anything special but had all the amenities I needed for my stay. Good shower, comfy bed. Wide-screen TV to name a few. Reasonably priced for an offshoot of the Mariot. Right next to the beautiful Castle Park if you just want to take a stroll round the bandstand. Would stay here again.
Our stay was amazing . First when we came thru the door was very welcome from receptionist she was so professional and so lovely girl. Room was very clean spacious and so comfortable. Dinner service was very good aswell food very nice and tasty definitely recommended. In the morning last minute we choose try breakfast service and blew us away. Lovely lithuanian lady named Regina welcomed as in best way you can imagine we felt like home. She showed us around and help with everything. Food choices was wow definitely we gonna come back. We want say massive thank you for Lithuanian lady Regina you made our stay special. Lots of love Rasa and Marius
Really lovely hotel completely and utterly let down by the most uncomfortable bed I've ever had the misfortune to sleep on. Rock hard with zero bounce and like laying on slab of lead. Apart from the beds everything else was perfect from the check in process to cleanliness and design and sound proof of the rooms. Such a disappointment as it completely ruined the entire stay for me and at 5am I decided to get dressed, pack my stuff, check out and drive home so I could at least get a few hours sleep. Not what you want when you have to work the next day. Also disappointing that after I told the staff this on checkout no discount was even offered for the inconvenience. I will not be returning to any marriott hotel because of this.
