Was kept awake by a noisy wedding party. Asked if we could change rooms. Couldn't do due to pricing bands of rooms. Could not guarantee our second night wouldn't be any quieter. The one star is for the lovely receptionist who tried the next morning to rearrange our room, and got the restaurant staff at breakfast who were lovely. Apart f r om that I would not recommend this hotel if you want a good night's sleep in Bristol.

Delicious food, attentive and friendly staff, gorgeous surroundings. I had the roast beef. Very nice, but the vegetables were sensational. They must be slow roasted. Even the horseradish sauce was obviously homemade and was moreish beyond belief. My guests had the fish and were similarly impressed. Thoroughly recommended.

Not the best Hotel I have stayed at. Stayed for business this week, first night (RM35) had mouldy windows/bath handles and in between toilet and bath. Floor wasn't hoovered throughout. Moved to another room (5) not a good room when you need early nights for work, located next to restaurant, outside glass recycling and a room which the staff use. These are used until late. Didn't have a TV remote for the stay, the reception did try to help but still unresolved. Colleague had been moved to a suite which was in another building and really nice (projector and kitchen). He found dirty sheets and mattress in his initial room. Positives: breakfast was tasty, French waitior (I think!) was friendly which a great attention to detail and welcoming. The hotel needs managing properly and improvements throughout the rooms especially when charging £80 a night. Location is great for Clifton but a shame I won't be returning.

Lovely location and ambience. Staff very friendly & helpful. Very well appointed room. Complimentary sherry & fruit a nice touch. Excellent breakfast. Only slight negative was that sound proofing of room could have been better.
