Located near Bournemouth clifftop and within very easy access of the beach and the town centre, it is convenient for a holiday stay. There is a little parking but not much.nnThe room itself was a bit minimalist to be honest. No drawers or wardrobe, just an open shelf to put clothes on. There are tea/coffee facilities and the best was reasonable. No view to speak of from the windows and I think that would be the same for most rooms as although it is near to the clifftop, there are a few buildings before that.nnPrice is based on location, not on quality of room or facilities, so don’t expect it to be cheap. It’s typical Travelodge pricing so it will change by the day. You may get lucky but more likely to be quite pricey, especially in summer.
Lovely place. The only trouble is in hot weather there is no air conditioning inside rooms. The support staff are great. Great location. Nice view just outside the hotel and a small downhill walk to the beach.
I would never recommend this travelogue to anyone after the infuriating experience I had. I stayed on August 24th, 2024, in room 412 with my family spouse and two kids, and it was the worst experience I've ever had.nnI paid £163 for a non-refundable one-night stay, with check-in at 3 pm. By 4 pm, I received a call from reception asking if I was coming or not, so they could give my room to someone else. Considering my booking was non-refundable, it was outrageous and completely unacceptable that they even made this call.nnTo make matters worse, the hand wash and hair/body wash bottles in my room were so damaged that they were unusable. When I reported this to the staff, they casually mentioned that they would raise a complaint to fix it in 2-3 days. My stay was only for one night, yet they offered no replacement or solution.nnAdditionally, there was no hair dryer in the room, and there weren't even enough towels for a family of four. This level of service is absolutely disgraceful.nNot possible to get parking here
DO NOT STAY HERE IF THE WEATHER IS HOT!! There is no air conditioning and the rooms are absolutely roasting hot. I understand that we can't predict the weather but I would personally avoid this hotel during the summer, despite it's brilliant location. There is air con in reception though!!nThe curtains were hanging off and alot of the hooks had broken.nStaff were helpful and tried to fix the curtains but admitted all the rail needed replacing. They offered another fan which was helpful with two young children.nI take responsibility for not checking if there was air con but would like to advise anyone else to avoid.nIt is also clearly a very popular and lively Travelodge with lots of guests noise and street noise so also avoid if you want a quiet or soundproof stay.nBasically it's a great stay for a stag and hen party, with the location and vibe.
First let's start with the positivesnPerfect locationnGood sized roomsnBasic but good for what you neednHas lifts to all levelsnStaff were relatively friendly close to pubs and foodessential a shop around the corner and a short but hilly walk to the town and a short walk to the beach with amazing viewsnNegativesnFOOD FOOD FOOD The food is shockingly bad we paid for the breakfast and dinner package DO NOT DO THISnThe breakfast is really not very nice the products are of the cheapest quality and it's such a small area to get your foodnThe dinners are no better the menu is small and most of the stuff is not available you have to pay a surcharge for some mealsnThe pie and mashINSTANT MASH ARE NOT WORTH THE EXTRA the burger is like a microwave burger and the chips are weird. Go to the hop in for your breakfast same price but really good quality food. The reception has air con but no where else does and the hotel corridors smell like old damp toilets. The rooms however dated but clean. Parking is £7.50 per night to park on the very small car park does free parking around the hotel if you can get it
