I recently stayed for three nights at Travelodge Bournemouth in February.nnStarting with the positives, the price was very reasonable for that time of year, which made it good value overall. The location is also a plus – the beach isn’t too far away, making it easy to enjoy a seaside walk. The staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay, which I appreciated. Breakfast was decent with a fair bit of variety, although it was disappointing that the only egg option available was scrambled.nnUnfortunately, there were several negatives that really impacted the experience. I stayed in Room 111, which is located next to the waste bins and car park. It was extremely noisy, and you could hear every single footstep from the room above, making it difficult to relax or sleep properly.nnThe biggest issue, however, was a plumbing problem that lasted for two nights. During this time, I couldn’t use the toilet, shower, or even the in-room coffee-making facilities. For a hotel stay, not being able to access basic amenities like a working toilet or shower is completely unacceptable and had a major impact on comfort and convenience.nnThere were also some concerns around the reception area. Homeless individuals were using the reception toilets, and there were incidents involving people attempting to get free reservations and breakfast, which resulted in security being called. There were also some unsavoury characters hanging around outside, creating additional noise and making the atmosphere feel uncomfortable at times.nnOverall, I would rate my stay 2/5. It could have been higher based on price, location, and staff friendliness, but the plumbing issues and noise problems significantly brought the experience down.
proper budget hotel. affordable prices. solid quality, don't expect a hilton. most positiv thing: extremely nice staff - especially the assistant manager Dora.
We had a lovely room we stayed for 2 nights.nFirst night we had a issue with another person smoking in the propery.nnIt was delt with quickly and very professionally.nnStaff was so helpful and so nice. We had a beautiful room very clean.nnThank you for the relaxed stay it was just what we went for.nnOnly thing i will say is internet is poor here you do get 30 mins free then you have to pay. We managed without this. We took a projector and some movies and had a blast.
Me and my partner stay here every time we go to visit my family and every time we are pleased with our stay. When we stayed here last we decided to try the food at the cafe here and the food was amazing and needs to be spoken about more. I recommend ordering the sausage and mash because it was delicious. Overall we rate this place 5 stars.
I have stayed in Travelodges and similar for work pretty much every week for 12 years. The staff here are in the top ten of any I have met. A genuine smile from someone when you get back to digs after a 12 hour shift can actually turn your bad day into not such a bad day. Highly recommended.
