Smelly and dirty place, nice ppl working there but walls and carpet stained and old. People smoking in the rooms all possible stuff, paper thin walls, it was noisy till 2am, could hear TV, laughing, sex and loud snorring. Very firm bed, sheets were old but clean, nice breakfast in a dirty place. Couldn't sleep but good price .

A decent budget hotel

I stayed in this hotel for 8 weeks (Monday to Friday) as I was (and still am) working in Reading. The Tower House is a working mans hotel so you will not find the comforts you would expect from some of the chain hotels but, having said that, the bedding is clean, fresh towels are supplied daily and there is hot water morning and night. My room had a tv and a kettle.
The hotel was full most nights I was there
The people who run the hotel are friendly and will advise you about the local area if you are not sure of anything.
I had one breakfast (just so I could comment on it).  I had sausage, bacon, beans and toast. It was served hot and was of decent quality. I was offered tea or coffee also.
This was the cheapest hotel by far that I could find in Reading and should I need to stay in a hotel again I would first see if there was a room at the Tower House.
The only reason I moved out was that I am now renting a room which is a little cheaper and gives me more freedom for cooking.

Wouldn't allow a animal to stay there absolutely filthy I'm surprised it hasn't been closedown
