Lovely rooms we have stayed here over weekends a few times to just be away from home which is only 25minutes drive and this place makes us feel like we are miles away. The club has lovely views. You can take a walk along The Thames. You might also just spot George Clooney if you’re lucky. Beautiful setting. The food is equally delicious.
Went here because The Swan at Streatley was fully booked up. Both hotels are Coppa Clubs, so are quite similar. The Great House is right by the Thames as well, so there's plenty of lovely walks close by. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The room was excellent. Evening meals were spot on. Brilliant stay to see the new year in.
Another nice late lunch. Our family of 22 had a lovely time at 15:30 to 17:00.reasonable cost too. Garden is nice weather very cold and river high and fast so stayed in the fenced garden.Service: 4/5
the service is pretty poor, the music is too loud, and the food isn’t up to much. They brought the wrong food to our table twice, and then added wrong items to our bill. I wouldn’t go back. They can’t even deliver a coffee without half of it being spilled in the saucer. Some of the rooms are by the road and so very noisy, also the smoke alarms have flashing lights and will keep you awake. Most of the staff look at you like your an inconvenience. The whole experience is awful. also we got served drinks in dirty glasses
As a family of 15 we came for Christmas Day lunch sadly it was the worst Christmas lunch I have ever had. The service was mediocre but staff were trying their best. The children’s meals came late and not at all appetising for a child.The soup was warm served on cold plates, the main meal was cold and very over cooked the Turkey was hardly real Turkey. The potatoes not roast but some overcooked sauté as were the sprouts. They forgot to cook my son in laws order. As for the brandy butter on the Xmas pudding it was a clarified puddle of grease. We had to go as the restaurant was closing before all of the deserts could be served. Sadly never again
Very good...... wedding reception & overnight stay
Had accidentally booked a room for two nights instead of one. When I contacted the hotel they showed no willing to refund me - even though the entire hotel is likely booked up by guests of the wedding I am attending, giving them huge revenue. Massive shameService: 1/5
Room lovely but spoilt by smells. Reception asked us to run the sink tap perhaps or house keeping could come and spray freshener .. not happyRooms: 2/5
Used to be an amazing place to eat. Food is not as good as it used to be . Staff missed a few things like water on the table and the drinking glasses had white suds on them.Service: 2/5
Stayed in the Clock Tour Suites for NYE and found them to be lovely and spacious. Very large walk in shower in bathroom was a highlight!
